Yes you can do this with either two catdusa boxes or two Catdusa CT-MFs.

@@leadphotographer74 Sorry, we don't. However, most DAWs have very similar set-up features so if you follow everything in regards to the SQ side of things, you should be able to figure it out in Audition.

@@leadphotographer74 The SQs use a general usb driver for Macs and a downloadable driver for Windows for usb, so you should have no problem using one with Audition.

Double check that you have the Allen and Heath Midi Program running and activated with the board.

The CQ mixers are all stand alone mixers. If you need 32 channels, you’ll could use a Qu32, Qupac + stagebox, Qusb + stagebox or a SQ series mixer. A Qusb + stagebox is probably the best route on a budget for 32 channels.

Yes, it’s controllable from the director software (computer or tablet) and the individual functions can also be controlled through rtp midi

Yes, the CQ essentially is an audio interface. @@tronmosesmedia4816 Thanks for sharing. how is the sa 4000? I've been using MBT through AccessAnalog. before I get my physical MBT, I'm picking up a McDSP APB 8. Going to get used to the workflow of baking a lot of tracks. Then the MBT will probably be a baked drum crush (as mentioned here), as well as on the master bus.

Under the IO section of you go to the usb tab you’ll be able to the main LR for two of your usb outs on top of your individual tracks.

No just a 3 band EQ on the master of the MEs. If you’re working with the SQs or higher, you can duplicate the input on the board and send that to the MEs if you want different EQ (or processing) than what the board is mixing for that channel.

Yes, the setup process for the console is the same.

Are you playing back from a computer or a usb stick plugged into the board? If from a computer, you’ll have to setup the SQ to run daw playback over midi. In either case, you’ll have to change the inputs to usb to perform the VSC. There’s currently no button to do a VSC or quickly change all the inputs for SQ.

Under the routing tab you can change where in the signal chain the in/out direct outs record from.

@@KLRCAT It’s like this for SQ, Avantis and Dlive. Allen and Heath regularly looks through the forums for user feedback. I would suggest posting the suggestion on their forums, Reddit or Facebook groups.

Personally we have not tried it at an outdoor gig, but it’s not as bright as an iPad as a point of reference.

The only two potential gotchas are: - Having to setup 4 fader banks and displace the starting number. That’s a HUI thing. -Having to offset the midi channel on the board by 1 vs on your customer. Both of these are covered in the video though Are you running over usb or rtp? You may want to contact A&H support.

If you open the program and don’t go to the system tab to connect to a console, then you are running in offline mode.

To make the CQ Auxes stereo go to Config> Outputs and in the bottom left section you’ll see a stereo link button to pair adjacent outputs, i.e. Out1 + Out2

You’ll need to format a usb stick to run FAT32 for it show up with Allen and Heath boards. If you’re using a folder on a computer, double check your permissions to allow Mixpad to see folders.

The inputs for a twin change based on how you’re plugged in, but they’re meant to run both channels at the same time and blend them.

We will keep your suggestion in mind for a future video but you're more likely to get quicker help in a UAD forum. LUNA was designed with Pro Tools in mind and has many of the same features. I'm sure if you take it step by step, you'll eventually figure it out. Good luck.

We haven't heard this but one rule of the internet is that when something goes wrong, people complain to everybody. When everything is working, you won't hear a peep. We've been working on this since it came out with no issues.

Yes, you can treat these like you would an analog xlr cable.

This is going to be in reference to using the mixer with a mac on Sonoma. If you’re using the mixer without connecting to a computer, I would not worry about updating. This is mainly going to be when using the mixer with SQ Mixpad or as a usb interface on a macbook or desktop. Generally with our industry, most companies don’t recommend performing major OS updates when they’re initially released. You’ll see this commonly with plugin companies. It’s a good rule of thumb not to upgrade your OS until you can verify all your software and plugins are compatible with the update.

You can use these just like normal mic cables as far as connecting different pieces of gear.

Are you setting the Input Direct Outs to capture from the Input/preamp? This will send the signal before it hits compression and channel faders. You can always place the protools trim plugin as your first plugin or use another plugin with input trim.

On the Processing View, drag the icon in the center with two arrows and 3 lines up. This will expand the faders and add in the pan controls.

The Ipad running mixpad will need to be on the same network as the mix rack. When you open the app, it will list all the mix racks on the network. If you don’t see this you’ll have to go into the security settings of your ipad and allow mixpad to see other devices in the network. The mix rack is the brain of the system, so mixpad will not connect to a mix surface. The Mix surfaces will only connect directly to a mix rack.
