Nice video, I just notice that you are a real enthusiast of this Myford, and that you also take good care of it. I am retired and looking for a Myford. Until now I have always worked with an AI (Hembrug) lathe, which has a hard ground bed with a prism bed, so tilting the support is not an option. But now that I'm retired I'm looking for something smaller. Have fun with your Myford. greetings from Rotterdam.😉

Folks need 2 be smart and do their home work since a lot of brands are using this same Metal lathe rebranded with their name and different color schemes and are selling them at really high prices

I had and old automatic diesel L300 1 ton van. I was always worried about a runaway engine. I'm aware that even putting a manual into a high gear @ a standstill & letting the clutch out will not nessirarily stall a runaway engine. Nice, smooth driving (& slow) van, but engine under the front seats gave me no confidence of stopping a runaway.

Really nice video, really like the idea of the feeler gauge at the back of the caradge, I'm just doing up a Super 7 it has a similar problem, this might be a nice fix, great idea 💡 .

I never would have put a safety valve on an engine like this. Mostly I just wouldn't have thought it necessary. It does make a certain sense here though

I started watching the fine Hanson models 10 years ago and I still have haven't found anyone that could produce such detail and if there is someone out there I would like to know about this type of quality I just haven't found it yet. Thank you Mr Hansen . you inspire us with such attention to detail

Find, Thank you for your video, some great ideas beautifully explained in detail. It is strange that Myford chose to use the front bedway only for saddle allignment. My ancient S7 has wear you describe, I need to get the surfaces reground; I think Myford will do this for me.

I have a flatbed 1904 Drummond lathe identical to this one but still original and unmodified aside from some additions such as a dividing plate made for the outer end of the main spindle, a tool post drill and grinding spindle, and a revolution counter for winding radio coils.

Awesome, this has answered one of my biggest questions regarding your true diesels. Now my biggest question is how it would go doing some work, perhaps driving a mini water pump? I'm in awe of your workmanship still, and I've known of your engines since I was 12 or 13, 2012/2013.
