I had the great pleasure of seeing Kurt Elling at the Wigan Jazz Festival some years back:~ two family birthdays the same day and tickets as a surprise! Just brilliant in many ways

Kurt is a cheeseball and the music he makes is not Jazz

Mr. Elling is such an underrated and supremely talented voice. I am sad that he hasn't hooked up with more big time pop/rap artists to collaborate with and put him on the map with the younger generations... His voice is undeniable, and should be recognized by the youth being lied to when they hear other "music artists"...

Great song. Great voice. Arrangement could have used a nice bluesy horn solo in the middle. Good stuff, Kurt.

Kurt Elling is an original in his own right by far, but can't help thinking what it would of been like if Sinatra or Bennett got together with Herbie Hancock & the Headhunters back in the day. This is fantastic stuff!

Or Tower of Power...actually, Sinatra sang with the Count Basie Orchestra...and they swung pretty hard. That was then, and this is SO now!!!

Stumble upon Kurt Elling's songs/music about 10 years ago and became a fan, like this version of "I have dreamed", also done with Branford Marsalis, just heard recently, there was a version by Greg Phillinganes liked a lot but now this one is included, the musicians definitely deserve their kudos. Beautiful music.

I wanna run, I wanna to hide I wanna tear down the walls that hold me inside I wanna reach out And touch the flame Where the streets have no name I want to feel the light on my face I want to see the dust-cloud Disappear without a trace I want to take shelter From the poison rain Where the streets have no name Where the streets have no name Where the streets have no name We're always building and then burning down love And burning down love But when I go there I'll go there with you It's all I can do The cities flood, and our love turns to rust We're beaten down and blown by the wind Trampled into dust But I'll show you a place High on a desert plain Where the streets have no name Where the streets have no name Where the streets have no name We're always building and then burning down love And tearing down love But when I go there I'll go there with you It's all I can do It's all I can do And even then we go on burning with love And tearing down love But when I go there I'll go there with you 'Cause when we go on burning with love We go on burning down low But I'll go there with you When I go there I'll go there with you It's all I can do Where the streets have no name
