Don't you oil the chain
@DIYEVERYTHING
@DIYEVERYTHING 3 күн бұрын
The oil fill point is built into the timing chain cover so you are actually pouring the oil onto the chain as you fill it. There is also a small sump that picks up oil on start up and oils the chain until the pump starts pushing oil onto it. So the short answer is no.

I prefer to not add brake fluid to the motive, just use the air pressure from the motive, makes clean up much easier. The only thing, you'll have to check the level in the car's reservoir, you'll probably have to top it up once or twice during the bleeding. Great video, thanks for doing this.

I called the previous owner and he lost the key. I really don't want to purchase a new key but I want to reset the system and remove his account. Can orbit be helpful here to remove the previous owner without the small key ?

The bumper cover can be removed in about 10 minutes, including renovation the wheels to get to the two bolts on each side. You should be able to do it without breaking any of the clips.

@DIYEVERYTHING
@DIYEVERYTHING 18 күн бұрын
It can be done, the harness for the mirror is there, you would just need the mirror and correct pigtail. I would caution you that the eyesight is very sensitive and could lose calibration if you bump the wrong things with the cover off.

@DIYEVERYTHING

The Polestar Optimization is different from Polestar Engineered. The Engineered can be activated with Orbit which tightens the shift response and slightly increases boost pressure. Optimized is done through the service department/ workshop and is a more in-depth process that includes a few replacement parts of I remember correctly.

I have a 2009 Forrester with similar rust issues in the same spots but not really bad. The passenger side rear door also has some rust coming through and needs to be fixed. I've owned this vehicle since new and it still has a lot of life left in it so I want to tackle the rust before it gets any worse. You did a great job. I have one suggestion. Before you use any primer, paint or clear coat, put the can in a bucket of warm water. Wrap a plastic baggie around the can and use an elastic to keep it tight. Put the can in a small bucket of warm water that covers the bottom half of the can and let it sit for about 5 minutes. You'll find that the spray will be finer and there's less chance of clogging the tip or getting paint drips. You'll also get more of the spray out of the can. Thanks for your video.
