I thought most kit planes had 10 gallon tanks and had a range of 1 hour fly time hows this do 2 hours and how many miles does it do in 2 hours, i am looking for a plane that can fly 250 miles one way NON STOP so i can learn to fly first thay far
@PRH1236 ай бұрын
Says below it has a 1/2 vw. That could fly as long as 2 hours on 5 gallons. 5 gallons is the legal limit for an ultralight. Although with a 1/2 vw, not sure it’s an ultralight anymore. If it’s an experimental, then no legal limit on fuel. Only gross weight limit. Although you’re right, generally speaking experimentals up to 65 hp generally have 10-15 gallon tanks.

Sir, I had a minimax. Loved it, I had a full VW on mine. The 1100r. The r is for rotax so I’m afraid what you have is not an 1100r. But it is a nice plane. Be careful with the 1/2 VW. I flew mine home on 3 cyls a half dozen times. If you only have 2 cyls you’d have been a glider. But very cool plane, just be careful they glide like a rock

cool. What happened to it? when I start making my own money I'll try saving up for ultralights. Or minimax if they would be around at my adult era.

Probably your static source is incorrect. Try a different spot. Even run a tube from your AS indicator to the back of the fuselage and let it just lay there. I built an 1100 and also an EROS 1650. Also had problems with correct AS indications. Is this in the USA? If so, is it a FAA Part 103 ultralight? Meets the 254lb empty weight? Looks like it should be in the Experimental Amateur Built area, N number and Airworthiness Certificate. That engine weight seems like it would put it WAY beyond 254lbs. Generally, only a single cyl engine will allow it to make the 254.
@Kevin_7473 жыл бұрын
You the ultralight police? You seem to ask that question on about every mini max video on youtube. I'm sure everybody involved with a mini max knows the regs. Instead of raising red flags for somebody you never met stick with telling us all about your mini max, which you do on every mini max video on youtube.

@morkusmorkus60402 жыл бұрын
Why need to see below? I want to be able to see ahead and down, not below. and a high wing blocks visibility into turn. way worse than not seeing below the aircraft which is irrelevant. can get a good view of surrounding terrain from cockpit position, just not below.

It had somewhere around 30 horsepower. I had a crack develop on one of the heads were the spark plug port was machined in and lost compression. I have since sold it and it is sporting a 2 stroke now. I highly recommend Rotax. If I were to build one in the future, that is what I would put on it.
