its mechs are very quick. best tip which may help is to know you want to move as soon as the orange ground markers dissappear. As with the majority of attacks across FFXIV you don't need to wait for the boss attack animation to avoid getting hit.

It was added to the game data files in 7.0 but isn't available yet so no one currently knows how it will be obtained. Best guesses are from upcoming seasonal events or bonus item for some irl purchase/mog station.

IDK if I'll get into Savage but with my FC, maybe. I just need 4 more levels before I can get reliable maps and then I'm good to collect maps for the sake of getting the stone dragon (I will probably also keep an eye on the MB for that if possible. If I can get the Alkonost during EW, I can get this thing during DT. Especially since I don't think I'm getting the Pteranodon mount anytime soon and it has the same model skeleton)

It’s my favorite mount. Was also the first raid tier I did savage difficulty ever really on item level and everything. It’s for sure possible! You got this. The mount is worth it honestly.

I chalked it it up to Ilsabard being the center of, let's call it, the infection that was the final days and it spreading outwards from there. We know that those areas were where the shield of aether around the star was weakest and therefor degraded quickest after Zodiark's fall. And we can see that the infection is horrible there, but much more mild to the east and west. It's not unreasonable to think that we'd saved the day before it could reach Tural on the other side of the world. That said, I can agree in there being missed writing potential, and one the game's strengths prior to this is not being afraid to callback to previous experiences. You also make a good point about the porxies. I think the mission at hand is too dire to just leave and go grab some, but it wouldn't take much to give us a dialog option to say "I think we can help with this" and send for some familiars. The other things you mention, though, I think are too divorced between past and current issues. The omicrons' existence is a much different state. If they remember their time as fleshy beings, they don't resemble it. They're extremely robotic, as opposed to the Endless who retain their humanity and personality. Also, there's no guarantee that everyone did the omicron beast tribe. As for Beq Lugg, I don't see what we would have gone to them for. What would that conversation even be like? "These people have perfected a method for taking souls, stripping away their memories, and using them as life batteries!", "Oh my! That is both amazing and horrifying!" There's no question or problem there that we need an expert's help with, just a severely effed up situation.

But it would still be exactly that -- manufacturing an excuse, because that was never the lore that was established in the game itself. The Final Days were not a targeted phenomenon, and the Endwalker role quests have us experience that even though we do not see all regions of the world burn like Thavnair and Garlemald, yes, people were turning into Blasphemies and causing havoc in every part of the world. Even the Hildibrand quests provide lore that the Final Days were experienced across the universe in all directions, acting more like a 'radiation of despair' emanating from a point source at Ultima Thule rather than something directed *at* any single point. On the Omicrons, you are not quite wrong but you are making a point on a different problem really than the one at hand. It is true that the Omicrons have grown detached from the beings they once were because they have spent forever in artificial bodies and plunged themselves into what was basically an identity crisis, but as you play through the Gatherer reputation quests in Ultima Thule, it emerges more and more that the Omicron are still capable of the things they thought they had lost (like a sense of humor), which hints at it that their robotic behaviour was not in fact the result of their method for running their minds in computers, and more a cultural paradigm they had ended up developing for themselves from the belief that they needed to become the strongest existence among the stars, and as such optimized themselves towards what they would consider the greatest attainable military efficiency with regimented discipline overtaking every other social concern. The Omicron do not act 'robotic' because that is all they are potentially capable of, they act 'robotic' because they have for all intents and purposes been in the marines for millennia with no social feedback other than their performance metrics on drills and following protocol -- they're not technologically limited, they're just really stuck in a rut. I postulate that, unburdened by a similar driving fear of being conquered shaping their history, the Endless would probably not even want to go for Omicron bodies, but instead might switch to just existing in an entirely virtual reality (Honestly, how different would that be from in the totally artificial Living Memory anyway? And now they could be always on instead of waiting to be instantiated/reborn again by the core system), which the story surrounding the Stigma Dreamscape dungeon tells us the Omicrons have the tech for, but do not use that way because they're by necessity attached to having soldier bodies for the purpose of going around conquering in the physical world. So my point kind of stands that Omicron tech could solve the Endless' problems, even if the Omicrons themselves didn't use it that way. On the point of Beq Lugg... yeah, I will cede that one to you, that is exactly what they would say if we told them that. 😂

@@RockR277 That's more to do with when you can expect the sky to turn red it seems, and as Alisaie observed in EW, that is not a prerequisite for people to start turning. It is actually considered one of the plot flaws in EW because the writers seemed to be riding two horses at the same time on just what the effect of the Final Days was supposed to be, with the whole red skies and meteor showers being kind of surplus to requirement if the real thing it does is create monsters from negative emotions on the ground. And then it is relevant to consider that the role quests unlock in msq well before we even leave for Ultima Thule, so to believe that Tural had a thicker shroud of aether would require us to accept that this shroud of currents that Zodiark was sustaining around the planet was for some reason so much denser in over this one continent, that it did not only not see any Blasphemies spawn yet when everywhere else was, but that it continued to not unravel after the demise of Zodiark for a *lot* longer. It is an exercise I would describe as the kind of mental gymnastics that strongly suggest the underlying world building is at least moderately bad if that much is necessary to make it make sense. 😉
