I can tell your experienced with using a grinder but I feel like you could warn some of the people new to using this tool some of the dangers. If your not familiar or comfortable with this tool you should definitely not have your hands that close to the blade. Grinders are a tool to be respected at all times.

Ive had diamond 4” blades shatter on me while cutting and it’s nothing nice! They get hot and segmented and non segmented blades lose a piece while going 10,000 rpm…Be aware!

No question you are a really talented craftsman with cutting tile however the leisurely way handle free handing your cuts and the proximately your fingers are with that blade have but one mathematical outcome over time. Just sayin,

For all the people worrying about fingers I don't see a comment about dust. Get some water spraying on the cut. It'll save your lungs

what about the silicosis from the dust? Thought the wetting was to stop dangerous dust getting everywhere.

This worked great for redoing the shower/bathtub of my kid's bathroom. kzfaq.infoUgkxfiuHoZJo3bgdVPFRxQ-iqPpfbEHl2cYt I didn't like the guide, so I took it off. I just used a fine tipped sharpie on the tile and followed that line. It does make a wet mess, and once I started looking like I wet myself I started wearing a towel and apron while cutting. The blade it came with worked great until we wore it out. It was better than the replacement one we bought. I tried looking for just their blade, but failed. Not really for larger tiles unless you stack stuff on either side to support the tiles. Anyway, would definitley buy again.

If I'm paying $800 for a tile cutter, it better cut them perfectly straight! If I have to measure and mark and line-up both sides of the tile on every cut, I'll use a $100 Amazon LFT cutter.

Found out the hard way today that even a Sigma won't cut certain types of tiles. I did some tests with ceramic tiles and the Sigma was performing well. Then I tried it with a small clay body tile (same thickness as the ceramic) and the tile would not cut no matter how hard I scored or pressed. Very disappointed and now need to look for a decent wet saw.
