Поскупились на Mezzo на русские субтитры. У немцев и англичан явное преимущество. Валерия Абисаловича, видимо, не слишком беспокоит дикция исполнителей. В отличие от Модеста Петровича. Видимо предполагается, что вся Россия помнит либретто наизусть. Увы...

Сегодня, 15 марта 2024 посмотрел вживаю в Большом театре эту оперу. Самый мощный момент- хор стрельцов Выйди батька, мурашки по коже , высший класс! Низкий поклон таким людям, создателям оперы, живым и тем , кого нет с нами!

Была тоже в этот день в Большом, согласна, что Батя, батя, выйди к нам! один из самых мощных и пронзительных хоров в этой опере, а то, как это было исполнено - высочайшего уровня профессионализм! Спасибо создателям и исполнителям оперы, что подарили это счастье и полет мысли - опера современна как никогда!

For me, the Lamm + Shostakovitch version is the definitive version. I feel Shostakovitch really understood Mussorgsky when he orchestrated this opera

Модест Мусоргский лежит в канаве с перепою, а мимо проходит Николай Римский-Корсаков, в смокинге и с бамбуковой тростью. Остановится Николай Римский-Корсаков, пощекочет Модеста своей тростью и говорит: "Вставай! Иди умойся, и садись дописывать свою божественную оперу "Хованщина".

אופרה דבילית עם מוסיקה קלה ביותר ולא קוהרנטית. זה חשוב. פיוטר היה רשע גמור. דרמה היסטורית. בסיום ב1. אופרה דבילית עם מוסיקה כנענית. עם מוסיקה אפית ומורכבת ביותר עם פריטה בחלק החמישי. הסופר סת"ם לא לבלר חמוד ונאה ועם זקן, ומאמין ומסרב להיכנע להמון הפדופיל ולא אומר מה כתוב. הוא הדמות הכי חשובה ביצירה. עם הרבה אונס ופדופיליה ועבודה זרה והנשים נהנות מזה כמו הומואיות סופר מכוערות. הם עינו את הגיבור הסופר סת"ם פעמיים. הסצינה הפרסית וההמשך מלאה עבודה זרה. ואחרי זה מוסיקה מורכבת ביותר. ופיטר לא חס על הרוסים במוסיקה. הכומר ההומו והנסיך אנדריי נענש. עם סוף טוב ומעולה עם ניצחון לנסיכה שהוא המשיח. והנסיכה מצילה.

I'm working on it, but it's not easy. A Bruckner symphony movement needs 3 themes in the exposition, which are then climaxed in the development section. Personally, I see the first two themes - main and secondary - outlined in this fragment. To continue composing, I need a third theme. I have already composed one from elements of the secondary theme, but I don't know yet how good it is. I am purely an amateur composer with no professional training, just an amateur violinist with too much free time. I'm glad you like it!

К сожалению, мои познания в русском языке весьма примитивны. 😂 Я из Германии... У меня почти получается сопоставлять русские предложения с переводом.

Thank you for this upload. But I have to confess that the terrible conducting brought huge disappointment. This is one of my favorite operas - dynamic, passionate, gloriously beautiful music. This conductor directs in a music box, dull, decidedly un-Russian style. Conducting of Svetlanov, Mansurov, Steinberg are among the greatest recordings of this magnificent work. There is a Soviet film of this opera, conducted by Svetlanov with stunning singing, photography and acting. You can find it on YT.

Yes, I know the filmed Svetlanov recording. I'm not a big Svetlanov fan, I must confess, because his Mlada recording is completely overloaded and far too bombastic, and I generally have the feeling with him that he conducts every Russian composer as if it was Tchaikovsky. Fortunately, "The Tsar's Bride" is a very Tchaikovskian work. If the version had not been so severely shortened - Svetlanov was basically very free with the works he conducted - it would certainly be a reference recording for me as well.

@@derphysiker1774 I can easily tolerate cut performances if the conducting, orchestra and voices are superb. I don't need to feel that I have to get every single note for my money. :) Especially in the case of Wagner, the cut performances from the Met with Melchior and Flagstad are the pinnacle of Wagnerian performance but everything is cut for the broadcast. Nonetheless, please accept my appreciation for uploading this video as part of the infinite library of classical music available today. It's good to compare performance styles and practice.
