What an interesting perspective! Thanks for your keen insight into the two Jacks; afterall, you would know firsthand. I loved them both Jacks for different entertainment values. Alexis was key player!

Universe was the most cosmic horrory of all the stargates, wheras SG-1 was about debunking ancient gods and mysteries with our modern way of thinking, and Atlantis being the most "sci fi" with humans inheriting atlantean tech.

The Goa'uld-Wraith queen would be fine up to the point where the parasite needs to reproduce. Then there would be the red flag of the queen sitting immersed in a bath filled with strange larvae. Assuming the larvae picked up Wraith DNA they might not be viable and even if they were they'd have the combination of a Wraith's hunger and the Goa'uld's racial memory which would cause them to be essentially born too insane to function. Maybe I'm overthinking this.

that's so whack the ships are triangular pyramids and not rectangular pyramids, don't think I ever noticed that lol but like come one, stargate's whole shtick at the beginning was the alien pyramid thing...

They really should have joked about O'Neill MacGyvering the power supply... either in its construction or that he used a paperclip, rubberband, and some duck tape to finishe it off.

He's 100% correct! The Athosians were the worst part of Atlantis. It felt like it was an upper management decision to add them to the show. Also, Jason Momoa really brought things down. It was like SyFy channel trying to get their WWE audience to like science fiction.

I always wondered why he was randomly written out and never mentioned again. Like Holden appears in a few more episodes but Jinto was just gone. You'd think he'd get mentioned but doesn't. I never disliked the Athosians but the story went in a different direction.

if you connect to all the gates simultaneously you would be sent and relay to all of them until you exit out the last gate, just like milky-way midway station or the quest episode where the stargate dial the next gate and relay you to the next or when the energy pulse struct the gate and it jumps to the next one a dumps sg1 into Antarctica, even though though they dial all the gate simultaneously it still is connected one gate to the other and because it is a wormhole its still instantaneously

this is what google says on Rainbow leaving: Aiden Ford (Rainbow Sun Francks) a first season regular that the producers, and the actor himself, felt had not worked as intended and was highly underused as a result. Unwilling to write him out, the writers came up with an idea to make the character more important, but that downgraded him to recurring.

Jinto was perfect for Atlantis, the little explorer/daredevil. He could have joined SG easily in case travel between earth and Atlantis would not have been possible. Jinto was very memorable, so bravo to him for that. You won't remember every guest role, but you will remember Jinto.

as a fan of the show. i never had an issue with the people in the city. if anything it bolstered the teams surivial in a lot of ways. you had people to help out the team long term. for survival, trade, farming basic survival and understanding of that galaxy...... as a tv person i can understand wanting to get them off the set at the least...... more people u have in shots, more chaotic and so on. everything is ofc time and budget constrained. so it makes sense on that aspect to drop them just running around in background in most shots......

Jinto got the nice shades anyone know which they are from? kinda reminds me of the gorillaz char with the different coloring shades. but yeah I liked the episode shadows with them and the father. I was wondering later the season on what happened to them but later on it was known with Micheal experiments etc. Had no idea about joe being into skating thats cool.

Actually, one of the more interesting/ thought-challenging episodes I remember involves them (S01E03, "38 Minutes"). The arguement Weir gives for restricting religious freedoms. And it is not about the fact that the result proved her right, it is about that she was right in the first place, no matter the ultimate result.

i mean they were a staple through the series? they i felt did their part as best they could helping the city. farming, trading helping with allies in that regard. army cant survive without food....... they were cut off from earth for a LONG time. athosians saved their ass, as much as team saved the athosians. we just dont see that side in the storys. ofc isnt as interesting seeing trades being done on daily. as bullets and so on flying around.....

A Goa'uld could take a Wraith as a host. If it was just a Wraith and not a Queen, I think Go'auld would take over some human community and rule as he always did. He would probably create a Jaffa, but instead of pretending to be a god, he would pretend to be a Vampire. In fact, thanks to Wraith physiology, he wouldn't even have to pretend. A Go'auld in the body of a Wraith would most likely rule like Sokar (who preferred to play Satan instead of playing God).

Was there . . . a Tannhauser Gate? Speaking of inter dimensional space travel, I came up with a story about how a nefarious group of aliens were trying to destroy future humans, as they set up a series of dimension gates to human colony worlds. The aliens would fly through the gates, arriving near a human world in a scout ship. After discovering the gates, the humans repositioned some of the last gates, after reinforcing them, directly in front of stars, so, poof, the aliens wouldn’t try that again.
