Love the two paintings together , with the cows on top where the ornate gold framed one is now . The gold framed one, which reflects light, would look nice over the one on the left of the fireplace. Just my visual opinion. I am sure whatever you both decide , will be lovely. Every addition to your home is picked with such love and intention, and it shows. Your home imparts a feeling that is uniquely you both . It is truly a special sanctuary.

My parents loved fishing in MN in the summer, Fla in the winter, so they bought a lake nearby and made it into a commercial fishing lake. That was in Indiana. The lake sustained us after my dad died and I know everything about managing a lake. It is different every year. I always wanted to live on a lake again when I got older, but it has not happened as yet, so I am two very small ponds that breed dragonflies. Any paintings of water, lakes, etc. I love. Thank you soooo much for reading the poem. I do love it so. Near our lake was an old Victorian farmhouse that belonged to the Mennonite couple who sold us the lake. After we left the lake, the house just fell apart little by little until it was demolished. So sad, another memory gone. That little humble farmhouse houses some of Mussolini's stemware! The son got it in Italy when our troops took back the country. It all had gigantic fanciest M's all over them. I have no idea what happened to them.

The paintings are just beautiful Lisa and Tommy! I love that style of art where your mind just goes inside the painting and you travel....I agree with you that the slightly hazy coloring in the painting needs light. I would hang both of them where the one with the gold frame and the little one above are now- just my opinion! The poem is lovely. It's so true! A house only comes alive when there's a family in it. Thank you for letting us hang out with you both on a beautiful morning!

I found a similar painting of cows along a creek in a gift shop of a little garden center in Wisconsin. I knew the minute I saw it I had to have it! There's just something so peaceful and nostalgic about it. The cows are so content just hanging out and doing what cows do. I absolutely love it! Good to see you again!

Aww you can tell the way he looks at you that he adores you. It's wonderful that you have merged yourselves as one (like minds) and values. We too collect vintage paintings. Something that you said stood out "it's about the path and the darkness merging into the light." That is a common element that we too treasure and look for in paintings.

Oh my goodness Lisa ❤that poem was so beautiful. My husband passed away 4 years ago. Our homes heart ♥️ was broken when my sole mate passed away. Please allow me to say that because of your channel you have helped me through the hardest time of my life and I so appreciate you so very much. My homes heart ❤️ is slowly healing ❤️🩹. May god bless you and your beautiful family,but most of all may god give you and your husband many years to come to enjoy each other. God bless you all. ❤

Blind dates work sometimes though. (for me anyway). Coming out of a relationship, my friend from childhood called and said she wanted me to mee someone. I said yes of course, but never asked about age, married/divorced...etc. so even though I agreed, I had him already as a definitely "NO" and I decided to invent an excuse. However, when I told my mother (who was always so cool and respectful of our choices), suddenly became forceful!! She said I HAD to go and practically pushed me out the door. I remember wearing the ugliest dress I owned, hair a mess and feeling not very happy. Then he showed up.. Lomg story short: We've been married 43 years now.

Dear Gloria, I love your story! How’d you feel the minute you met him ? Did you confess 😆 ?! I tried everything from blind dates to a random meeting in line at Costco lol. Loyal friend were always on the lookout for me. I didn’t go into detail in the video since it was a “how-to”, but since Tommy and I were in different counties we talked on the phone for over a month before meeting. In our 3rd conversation, he mentioned his fraternity at USC and suddenly we had so many dear friends in common!! We had context for legitimacy! Online dating is overwhelming. It’s also dangerous if women (and men) aren’t extremely cautious in their approach. The upside is that it opens up many more possibilities to find the person that one is hoping for. Thanks for sharing !!!!!! Xoxo
