I think despite all the sadness and death this ending represents the end of the endless cycle- while the world is in tatters around them- they have each other in their own way and the world outside may never recover- but it can possibly have the chance to heal.

Despite everything- I think that the ending still holds some weight as the happiest outcome. Because the thing is- Elster and Ariane are together, albeit possibly locked in a dance both can never and may not wish to break from. And while the world is completely ruined- I believe the cycle has been broken so at the very least all the collective suffering that was the cost for this ending to happen has finally ended. This is something that the world may not be able to come back from- but now they’ve broken from that hellish cycle of torment.

Nah i firt thiught that this was a good ending whit ariane ascending to a god like status to be whit elster forever but it isnt actualy , this ending represent elser not dealing whit the reality of what she has to do to keep her promise she sacrifice orevius elsters souls to an empty tomb in order to create her on pocket cicle for eternity but thats not ariane the real ariane its still in hell waiting for slester to keep her promise thats why we are presented whit the words "remmenber our promise" this is elster escaping from reality creating a new hell for everyone specialy ariane stuck now for eternity in her own decaying nightmare

Escape ending is a lie. there are still dead haydees on the supposed escape room. really strange right? also the orange key card doesn't open the front door but closes the door behind you trapping you for good.

The only reason this part was moderately difficult is because the notes suck. It should say each specific thing that's required to get the machine to run but it doesn't. I don't think the part with having to put coal in the burner is mentioned at all anywhere. I wouldn't be surprised if some people missed even that part of doing this.

For Crying Out Loud This Game Is Sus The Boobs the Gyatt and her appearance like a Sexy Lovely Robot and Well Trained Robot that This Comment Section is sus the Design looks Sus Should be More Propriate! And so weird that mens private part went very big because of her attractive appearance they comment here say GYATT and i heart you! The dev should make this like classic T-shirt robot and Put Some Jeans On! Thats all i gotta say to this sus robot.

It’s funny cuz I tried one of these skips but then I found out “oh he’s using mods that make you invisible to spikes” so I gave up (this was at 2:52 then again a couple seconds later at 2:58) so the skips are impossible to pull off (or I’ve got a huge skill issue)

The key to understanding this ending, and Signalis as a whole, is realizing that Elster knows much more about what is really going on than most players think. Earlier in the game, she is not yet Elster but simply an LSTR unit who's unsure of what's happening or even who she's really looking for. As the game progresses, she remembers more and gets closer to being Ariane's Elster. When she remembers everything, Elster knows more than we do. She possesses esoteric knowledge about a mysterious artifact and knows how to preform an arcane ritual. This was her ultimate goal the entire time. In the Promise ending, Elster remembers her promise. In the Artifact ending, Elster fulfills her promise. She reunites with Ariane in death like how Siegfried reunites with Odette at the ending of Swan Lake, which makes a lot of sense given the music. I believe this was the full extent of her true promise.

Focus on the cycle, or move beyond it and come check out our sweet fan fiction. Come now, Pandora, open the box of woes and hopes so that we may observe your impossible object. VERY important detail I didn't notice at first: at 0:43 there is a tiny little orb of light that comes out of the artifact and moves to the bottom right, this is likely Ariane's soul being released from the flesh.... But the red eye looking down at everything could mean the artifact and the ritual (and maybe Signalis as a whole) are just Ariane's dream solution to everything. But with Bioresonance, dreaming might be enough. Ultimately, it's ambiguous. And that's what's so great about it.
