It's 2024 and you can still buy brand new 206 made in Iran for around 10000$. Or a fece-lift version of the Ford Fiesta for around 7000$. Both are not worth this much but there are not much more options.

I loved my Yaris which I had years ago. It was maybe not the best looking car, but it was reliable and useful (and it didn't consume too much fuel either). When we drove to Stockholm one vacation (about 1600 km from where I lived at the time), we did the long drive with two cars (4 adults plus luggage) and I had the backseat all the way forward to fit the luggage. Once there, we did all the short trips with just one car, backseat all the way back, giving us room enough for 4 people and a few backpacks in the back.
