Hi, When you source the output due to how send the signal output of your mixer to the input of this DSP, all you will do is to source from the Right channel of the input and your will get your balance L&R. So in the video the input of the DSP was coming from A&B so A is my L and B is my R

Well done bro.i came across your channel not long ago and I must commend you for the good work. I would like to add another perspective to this conversation not to refute your video, but for us to exhaust the topic thoroughly. 1. Physical limitations. In other to split the entire frequency range within 31 bands on a physical device, there's bound to be some compromises . It is physically impossible to add a center frequency(Q) on each band on a GEQ. So, the bands not being exactly on the predetermined frequencies or changes affecting neighboring frequencies are to be expected. Putting steep notch filters on a GEQ wouldn't serve any practical application in my opinion, that's the work of a PEQ. GEQ is meant for broad stroke applications. 2. Brand/Quality. The quality of components used by a particular manufacturer within the device goes a long way to affect how the device functions. All these zongo lane/china devices we have in Ghana are wack. A good brand will always serve you better. 3. Phase. Phase shift is an unavoidable side effect of EQ, unless of course you use a linear phase EQ. As how drastic the phasing is will depend on how well the the device was manufactured. Since GEQs are minimum phase EQs, it is the manufacturer's duty to ensure that the device does exactly that, so as not to introduce any nasty problems within the phase domain. AD/DA. I believe the converters of your audio interface should also be taking into account within the context of the test. How much color is it imparting to the signal. In conclusion, I personally believe that we should be able to make use of whatever is at our disposal as audio engineers to make something happen. I'm sure you've pulled out some fantastic shows with some mediocre equipments in the past. The most important thing is to know your craft inside out. I have subscribed to your channel! I'd like to be a part of your success on this platform..... peace✌🏼

Thank you for your teachings. But i have some questions. 1) which are the best preset channels to use in 3 ways and 2 ways settings? 2) which are the best filter frequencies to use in your low mid and high? 3) while setting your PEQ, what's the function of the F1, F2,F3, and F4. and how can you determine the right DB, the right BW and slope?. 4) In setting your crossover, what's the function of the slope. I mean, what does the do, or the effect of the slope. If i cut the slope, what will be the output. And if the slope is not cut, what will the output be? 5) What's the right frequency to use in setting a live band?

Some people use the driverack at the same time equalizer n crossover,I asked and they said, the rack alone can not boost as loud as they want. How true is that bcos I ever saw some people use only the rack n amplifiers and they really play louder than those people do.

We use only the DSP, because it have built in crossover and EQ as said it n the video. Since they don't no how to config it well that's what they will say

Hello please How do you route reaper signal on Smaart or Smaart to Reaper?
@samuelkennethacquah10683 ай бұрын
Hello! You can do that by using two computers and two audio interface. But if you have only one am sure what am going to say will be understandable for you. Smaart have two out for sending signal out. I used only 1 output from smaart, and in Reaper I activated the input to listen to the input of the reference signal. After I send only 1 mono signal from reaper to my audio interface output. Remember I used only 1 output from smaart. So the output of reapers comes in as my measurements microphone that's is input one. I no is confusing, but that's how I did it.

@samuelkennethacquah10685 ай бұрын
Hello Mark. You can let the output from 1 to 6 for individual speakers. You will press and hold on the config bottom, in that procedures u can let each output be mono by unlinking 1 and 2 and 3 and 4, 5&6 is already unlinked. And I think you can do this at the I/O section but unless I look through it before I can give you more details

Hello 👋 can you please help me,say i have a guitar with a frequency range from 64hertz all the way upto 12khertz,how wil i eq this can you advice me
@samuelkennethacquah10687 ай бұрын
Hello TechPzd, in most cases a guitar have a body from the low mid to the high mid. The guitar don't need a frequency of 64Hz remember Bass guitar and kick drums floor tom are heavily working at that frequencies. So I will advise you will put a high pass filter on the lead guitar. And make sure u cut some Mudd out should Incase you hear some. The mud start at 230Hz to 800Hz for lead guitars. And dont bright the lead guitar if not it will sound harsh and hard to listen, especially when he changes the tone to distortion. So focus on the mid and a little bit of High Mid, if theirs no problem at the low mid leave it.and always remember it is better to cut a little frequencies than boost many frequencies.

@@samuelkennethacquah1068 👍Thank you for the reply, I'm still a beginner in audio,can you tell me how can i know if a frequency is bad muddy,harsh etc.

For you to get the ears to hear everything I will tell you with time and constant learning. As u can rewatch the video again. Since I used pink noise and I sub group the frequencies. Use a good headphone to listen from time to time. You will understand it best.

On the left corner where your tracks line up from top to down. This is a little icon like a folder icon. Click on it once and that track becomes a folder you click on it again and become the last track in the folder click on it again and it becomes normal track. So if should Incase you want to create a group for your drums you have create a new track and put it Infront of your drums like Infront of the kick, then click on that empty track you created folder icon to be a folder. Now all the tracks that follow that folder will automatically pass through it before it gets to the master fader so let say you have your floor tom as the last drum channel click on the folder icon on your floor tom twice, which means it is the last in that drums group you created.
