This really is an amazing tutorial. I now understand the basics of lighting while before I knew very little about it. Well done dude.

I have the a7c gen 1 and it is already a fantastic camera in photo and video, in low light and every scenario with the right lenses. Stabilization is good for static shots even at 300mm. For video stabilization i ordered a gimbal weebill 3s which should match the a7c and tamron lenses 17-28 and even 70mm of the 70-300mm as it is so light weight. I wait my zhiyun w3s. A7cR should be nice in photo to crop pictures and 4k60. But a7c is very very good at 1080p60 and 1080p120 and the software can upscale the resolution. So i think the a7c is already super good, and miss only 10 bits 4:2:2 to use slog3 but there is hlg3. Honestly the video is already super good at 8 bits standard profile and pp2 for nightshot where you reduce details to limit noise, the sensor 24mp is very good. The grip of the a7c is not the best, so i added a handle and cage but it add weight so i removed it and prefer the lightweight a7c standard for photo. The cage is good for video handheld as it add weight which make it more stable. But i will receive my gimbal which should solve that.

I have tried updating my transmitters multiple times and can't get them to update. Are there any other tips? I have erased the old bin files and redownloaded them and still it's showing the old version.

I light myself with a key light that’s slightly above me and off to my side so I get that natural shadow on my opposite side. When I wear a hat, the light being raised and pointed down just makes a bad shadow. Can you give tips on lighting when wearing hats?

The shift to subscription-based models often removes the incentive for developers to provide meaningful updates. With a fixed income stream, regardless of performance or innovation, there’s less motivation to push out substantial improvements. Subscriptions can lead to complacency, resulting in fewer updates and lower overall quality. For consumers, subscription models can be costly, especially when the expenses add up across multiple services. For casual users who only use a product occasionally, subscriptions make it much more expensive.

I'm definitely considering getting the ZV-E10 for recording DJ sets; especially after finding out the Canon I got is relatively useless for recording video (my fault for not doing my research!)

For us non content creators, the original A7c is just fine...only thing I would change...the rear view screen should be just flip down.

I am new to lighting and I still don't know if I should go with the 150c or the 300c. I am thinking of using it for interviews in small rooms, solo dance videos, B-roll videos in restaurants, and just experimenting with light and learning in my apartment.
@benjohnsoncreative5 күн бұрын
The 150 is still super bright, I’d go with that and overtime if you feel you need more light you can upgrade
