Thank you. There are nuances up close, you don't get from the cheap seats 💗

The slowed down "As someone told me lately everyone deserves the chance to FLY!" should've been standard across all production. It's ALWAYS rushed.

Even in 2024 this is the best song in the West End. Probably Broadway too.

There’s something about the way she delivers the line “ to those who ground me take a message back from me” sends chills down my spine

You wander off watching other Elphabas, but every now and then you return and are reminded about the incredibleness of Rachel Tucker’s Elphaba of 2010-2011. That is the sort of singing + acting that is unmatched. In the theatre she was captivating, enthralling… just commanded the performance space like nobody else. The flying sequence was magical in a way that I haven’t quite seen it done. The way she ‘levitated’ while blowing this song out of the depths of her soul was breathtaking.

How does Glinda’s bubble work? I would be worried about falling out.
@ECKohns4 ай бұрын
There is a safety wire holding her in. If you pay close attention, whenever she steps down from her bubble or gets up in it, you can see there’s a cast member who comes from behind and attaches her in. That person always then gives her a light pat on the back to tell her she’s been secured (meaning she must not move) or detached (meaning she can now step off).

I like how they do this but why didn’t they use wires for this

Remember seeing this and fell in love with the story musical. For people saying the accents don’t suit it’s because it’s not the accent your used to, I remember seeing this in New York and accents ruined it for me as I wasn’t used to the voices but I love it outside of the New York accent

my childhood best friend and i practiced this song and popular for weeks and auditioned for our elementary school talent show. they wouldnt let us do loathing, but they let us do popular. as if telling someone theyre not good enough and you're gonna teach them how to be better liked is any better than an equal hatred, lmfao
