I think BCA uppers are pretty good. Most of the issues that I have heard from people usually involve the the bolt or BCG in general. If you have some good quality BCGs around, Id say go for it. Throw a Sons of Liberty, Spikes, Aero, any decent BCG in there and I think its a win. The BCG is the heart of the gun. I got a .300 blackout upper, threw in a Sons BCG, and it works great. The barrel isnt going to last as long as a DD or Bravo Company, but hey, you can always swap the barrel

I own both a Shadow 2 and a P10C, both without the optic ready slides. I purchased them prior to the optic ready models being available. I would not purchase any of these two pistols. If CZ wanted to they could come out with an optics ready model, but they chose not to cater to their loyal fans. When looking for a polymer DA/SA pistol I went with the Grand Power MK23 K-100 optics ready pistol. It’s an exceptionally accurate and reliable pistol that is well built. The rotating barrel also helps mitigate the felt recoil. The only thing that I don’t like is the plastic shoe on the trigger. There are other companies than CZ that are actually listening to their customer base so why should I reward CZ for their engineering laziness.

When considering that they are at the same price after the upgrades to the P01, the price of the Shadow 2 Compact seems like a good price.

Cz shadow 2 compact for me with the kimber you had to change the grips out and that was your big selling point for it and the original grips you didn’t like so it’s up graded stock out the box Cz wins cheaper faster and looks better and so many options for mag capacity

Think ultimately it comes down to "do you have a p01? If yes, upgrade it with modifications. If no, buy the shadow compact". Least thats my 2 cents. I edc a p01, and i dont really see a need or want for the s2c

It is not true that CZ Shadow 2 Compact doesn’t have de-cocking capabilities, it doesn’t have de-cocking lever. It was removed simply because it’s not needed. It is quite alarming how many (almost every single one!) reviewer on KZfaq keep criticize this fine pistol, a real masterpiece, which most of the owners agree that it is the best gun ever made. I don’t expect everyone to think as an engineer like I do, but you have to ask yourself why a reputable company with 1,800 employees made that decision to take that lever out. I made a short video to explain how to safely carry this gun: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mN2faKiHuc2ceIE.htmlsi=zJNQGBP04l848x_C I have to tell you that P01 is NOT safe to dry shoot, dislike Shadow 2 which is. Study internal components, try to understand the design intention before make any conclusions. To try to modify an obsolete gun instead to buy the new improved model is just stupid attempt. Sorry for being straight forward, but I don’t know how else I could say it.

You're upper and lower are not well matched. Your brass ejection is pretty far forward, which means your bolt velocity is too high. This might be called over-gassed. Equivalently, this could be considered under-buffered and/or over-sprung. I don't know what the buffer is in your lower, but if it's a carbine 3.5 oz buffer, you might try an H or H2 buffer, which will slow the bolt velocity and allow the brass time to get out of the ejection port before closing on it and stovepiping. I know you guys were just trying to test the upper, but since the recoil system is in the lower, the upper and lower are not completely independent. Maybe you guys already know this, but i thought folks watching this with little AR experience might benefit.

I'm 76 and my eyes do not like 3 dot white sights, I prefer blacked out rear and fiber front. Fiber front and rear are OK but need to be a contrast like green rear and red front. I love shooting with a dot, but my EDC does not have an optic, personal preference. I would like the S2 to have a decocker, bit I would choose the CZ over the Kimber. For me, that's a no brainer. A few months back I bought a CZ 75 and choose it over the sp01.

. I would say that You can throw extended safeties, and a CGW increased Pressure Dentent spring, on the CZ and the secure safety problem is ended. I carry it Cocked & Locked No Problems, and I'm used to carrying 1911's for years.... The CZ is just so much lighter, and shoots so much better than anything in its class... I cal it a competition carry gun. The Bottom line is if you shoot better with the CZ, then that's what you should carry... It could mean the difference between coming home or not.... Just Sayin'

thats usually my rule of thumb with bca, i bought my first upper from them back in 2015 so i figure that by now they have the normal style ar15 setup down. from what i've read online its usually the more oddball calibers that have weird issues, mainly the 7.62x39 and bigger rounds

Right now I have to go with the P01. I haven’t cracked the 1000 rd mark yet but had zero malfunctions. Have around the same rd count with my P07 but have had feeding issues (just a few). I believe it to be the ammo, but it had to be sure. I like the fact that the P01 is NATO certified. That was a huge selling point to me, that thing is a tank.

I own a CZ Shadow 2 compact. The trigger on it is way too light for carrying, and Cajun Gun works will tell you the same! The safety is way too mushy and much too easy to knock off safe. It needs extended safeties like the Shadow 2 full size. Anything that will fit the Shadow 2 full size internally will fit the compact. About the only thing that won't fit are the grips... If it had about a 4 to 5 lb trigger in single action it would be much better. Nobody will say they have springs to fix the mushiness of the safety. You can buy the extended safety levers that are the same ones that the Shadow 2 full size use if you can find them... CZ WILL TELL YOU THE GUN WAS BUILT TO FIT IN THE IPSC BOX. But they also want to sell them for concealed carry.

I have both. Have not added an optics to the CZ but do have a Holosun on the Kimber. I bought a kit from Kimber that has the optics plate and co-witness sights! How cool is that! A thing to take in consideration is that the Kimber is noticeably to me lighter to carry. Neither gun has failed after hundreds of rounds.. The video mentioned the CZ had less recoil but might be because the Kimber is lighter? Both are excellent guns!! FYI, I have a number of KImbers and a CZ Tactical Sport.

Night sights are a marketing scheme for the public. You need some ambient light or self provided light source to identify your target/attacker which will also allow you to see your sites. What the military or gov’t calls casualties or friendly fire, the civilian world calls gross negligence and victim. We are not in combat zones and without PID and proper cause you will be sued and incarcerated.
