They are basically the same price by the time you add all the work to the p01. The S2 will still have the better trigger. It ends up being if you want a decocker or not.
@connorwilliams769Ай бұрын
P01 is currently unavailable almost everywhere and where I am (NJ) the cheapest its selling for is 800. milling is 150 plus tax and shipping bringing it to almost 200 + a month wait time. so milling + grips + CGW trigger job which takes time and knowledge comes to 1250 all together. I like the P01 but for an extra 100 to just have a S2C makes more sense to me. That why why I'm going with a P07

I’m in NJ and got a po1 omega from jersey devil in AC he’s appointment only $750. You have to wait for containers to come they sell out fast and then won’t be around till another container makes to country. But Cz changed ownership and discontinued so many guns and only kept high end lines I believe it’s same company that bought colt and did same thing so you might have to get used

I carry my s2c. I carry one in the head and De-cocked safety off. It’s not a complicated situation to have work just fine… My reg shadow 2 is a gun im dumb accurate with. Only reason i never carried it. It was too big and no decent holster options. But size mainly. And onced they released the S2C. It was a no brainer.. i now carry a pistol I’m confident in as far as accuracy and speed. I love it! But hey. To each his own right… great review guys! One of the best if not best i seen on these pistols. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the CZ video. Odd choices to speak on decockers and triggers when those are the clear differences between these. I own both and happy to carry both. The whole point of the shadow line is nothing obstructing the trigger and having great shooting characteristics. If you added a decocker or firing pin block it would just be a 75 like the P-01 or PCR. Also very easy to manually decock the S2C you could even do it at the range if that makes you feel better.

The manual tells use how to safely carry the Shadow 2 Compact. I drop my hammer to half cocked with the opposite hand and carry with the the safety off. Getting use to the safety is about training.

I have both. I do feel safer carrying the PO1 but the Shadow 2 shoots a little better and the trigger is definitely better . That being said I’m not sure it’s worth twice the price although one is optic ready and one isn’t
@spm108Ай бұрын
Safer in what way?
@jonn8163Ай бұрын
@@spm108 there is no safety pin block in the shadow 2 compact which doesn’t make it drop safe and to get it into the half cocked position it’s a little nerve wracking being there is no de-cocker. That being said the Shadow 2 trigger is a lot nicer then the PO1 due to the design eliminating the safety pin block. I do carry my Shadow 2 compact but not with a round in the chamber

I have a full custom PCR I edc with custom grips, 1911 rmr BUIS plate with matching fiber green front, all CGW internals, ring race hammer, Flat DA/SA trigger, custom cerakote job, holosun 407a3x2, custom stainless copper guide rod and grips screws, and I spent $1100 all in. I installed all parts, Primary machine did cut, cerakote, optic/ plate install. I’ll take my PCR over the S2C any day. More reliability, slimmer profile, DA/SA at 6lb and 3lb is perfect for edc, safer pistol. No real point for the S2C imho. CZ is coming out with a new P01 model and I bet it will be the same p01 but optic ready.

Subscribed. Good info. I would imagine the S2C price will continue to come down. If I may be candid, I find the fear of carrying cocked and locked (not just this channel) irrational. Seems to be a generational thing. Beyond that, there are safer ways to drop the hammer than trying to ease it down with your thumb on top of it. Just sayin'.

CZ’s P-07 certainly is in the same “class” and has the same CZ75B derived design. The P-07’s polymer frame provides some real advantages (as well as one or two disadvantages). You guys might want to consider a fools-up video, which includes the P-07 in this mix.

I recently picked up the S2 Compact. I think it's banking on the success of the other Shadow 2. I think the shadow 2 is priced a tad higher than what it should be. The optic cut is probably the biggest expense, but something that probably costs a manufacturer $100 over a standard slide at most. Great comparison between these 2 pistols. My biggest gripe so far on the S2C is the lack of a de-cocker.
@enixfuАй бұрын
I also would take a decocker over a safety

Then get a P01. Send it to Cajun, trigger, optic cut and remove your firing pin block. You'll end up with a better grip and actual compact size.

@shelbyneely1572Ай бұрын
@@franksausa8812doesn't need one, most guns that have it only have it because of military specifications. You can drop the s2c all day on the hammer and not have it go off, internet fudd boomery has prevailed with that myth.
