No, all the big youtubers I watch do intoduce themselves and it makes me feel more engaged.

As much as I LOVE using my camera... Most people spend WAY too much money on their equipment too early. Instead of just using what they have and ONLY upgrading when they 100% need to

This seems really stupid but how do you separate your broadcast stream mix and chat mic using the goxlr?
@ajsarsfield2 күн бұрын
Oh! - Thats an easy one... In the GoXLR routing table you just uncheck the microphone from the broadcast mix, and then in OBS you have 1 audio input as the broadcast mix and a 2nd input as the GoXLR microphone Then you can filter them separately (hope that makes sense)
@AtomicYin2 күн бұрын
@ajsarsfield You have no idea how long it has taken me to sort this out thank you! Obviously I can still change the audio with the actual mixer, so if I audio duck the broardcast, that means that my game, music will all be ducked the same is that, right? If that makes sense. If I wanted to duck the music and gameplay separately, would I have to disable them in the mounting table and make another input capture within obs?
@ajsarsfield2 күн бұрын
@AtomicYin Correct! Anything you need to do seperately, you'd remove from the table and add to OBS Individually. Most of the time I wanted my game/music to be quiter when I spoke so I just left it all in the broadcast mix BUT I know some people want to do different levels for different inputs
@AtomicYin2 күн бұрын
@ajsarsfield Hm I disabled the music tab in the rounting table, and it's not appearing as an audio input device inside obs. I'm with you, I feel like audio ducking the music for just chatting is perfect but for game audio I can control that fine with the slider.

i think they recently removed the file from where I originally got it and moved it into a "legacy" VST's part of the site... *finds link* www.audiodamage.com/pages/free-and-legacy Should be in there ^^ I'll update the video description too so others can find it easily.

100% learn to use lighting and get familiar with your rear camera settings to find ideal recording. Plus, for most content, in my opinion, you don't need to make it in 4k, honestly 2k or 1080p is still good enough for most social media content. Love what you said, if your content sucks it's still going to suck in 4k 😂. My entire tiktok channel is all done on my mobile phone.. 32k followers later, still don't need a better camera. CONTROL THE LIGHTING FIRST!

Man this video saved me! I tried SO MANY different things to prevent my mic from clipping/cutting out when I got too loud. Turns out it was the noise suppression! Using speex instead of RNnoise is much better if you plan on getting louder or even screaming in your videos/streams! That little comment about RNnoise making you cut out when too loud just saved me a lot more headache. I really appreciate it lol!
@ajsarsfield4 күн бұрын
Its SUCH a common issue... It doesn't happen to everyone but it happens enough for me to mention it 😅 I'm so glad you figured it out though and your mic isn't clipping/ cutting out any more 🔥🔥🔥

Not at all!! - if you buy an Elgato LP Arm then you also get given any adapters you'd need to mount microphones like this! (Comes in the box) Also just in case you haven't bought one yet.. Do you do you recommend shure SM7B or SM7dB?
@ajsarsfield12 күн бұрын
THE SM7DB is obviously better but it costs a fair bit more than the original.. So it Depends on your budget, interface & use case.. With a GoXLR and for streaming etc a standard SM7B will be fine especially when mixed in the music/gameplay... That's what I used for years (even without a cloudlifter)
@SHNYT12 күн бұрын
@@ajsarsfield I would be using it for KZfaq videos. I use my voiceover to make rehearsal type videos. I'm in doubt I don't want to add extra gain on the GOXLR because it would add background noise, I think I should buy the SM7dB and thus add less gain on the interface avoiding noise. Thanks mate, amazing vídeo
