To Tool fans out there reading this, why do you think Adam is such a mediocre guitarist? Like I get that his riffs could legit melt steel and they sound awesome, among his other attributes, but comparing him to other big rock bands he just doesn’t come close to standing up to them. Like I’m not saying he should be some virtuoso like Page, SRV or Hendrix but as a guitarist myself literally everything he does is really really easy. He never seems to, for even a few bars, do anything that is difficult in any manner other than occasionally the odd time which is obv largely in part to Danny’s drumming. Is he actually mediocre? Or is the stuff that he performs just easy? I’ve seen him mess up simple stuff like the national anthem or even his own solos. I just don’t get why he’s (kinda) underwhelming at times.
