I grew up going to see the films of Disney's rebirth in Animation: The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast... this song and the film it's from is right up there in my book.

Alan Menken is a legend. His style of composition and arrangement is uniquely superb. Not an inch of superfluousness around simple, beautiful melody, Mr. Menken has the ability to distill complex emotion correlating movie scenes, from a simple striking note, and resonate them with audience on deep level. That's what triumphed Disney movies for several decade I believe. Except, I don't like Alan's choice of Aladdin opposing Lea. Vocal, rhythm...Brad couldn't hit those easy notes. 😂
