Easily karting, I do sim racing because I cannot afford constant karting, but when I tried karting it has a entire dimension, sim racing is not nearly as physical, also confidence, Easily high on sim racing because there is nothing to lose

Bob was my favorite driver in the 90's golden age of CART. He was fast, consistent and a clean racer. He knew how to bring the car home and score championship points. He's a class gentleman as well.

To add to what Bobby said, Tommy Kendall, who was a pretty good racer once said, "Racing is the one sport where talent guarantees you nothing."

Mario was an expellee from Montona/Istria. The italian population was pushed out there by force just like the germans in the eastern parts of the Reich lost their homelands by ethical cleansing.

This "underrated"-thing comes from people, who turn their own subjective perception of feeling (criminally) underrated by their social fellows on to some celebrity in a public space. Kind of a compensation.

If it's laser scanned and a permanent track the simulator is all you need! Mildly downplaying the importance of simulation. Take two drivers to a new track, allow one to sim race and allow the other to watch only on board and let's see who gets up to pace quicker!

My key takeaway from this is defensive driving is all about positioning. If you need to defend position yourself where it will make it the most difficult for your opponent to make the pass. Depending on the race, corner and conditions that could be moving to the inside line or parking it on the apex to kill their run. Regardless of where you choose to place the car though got to decide that before the guy behind is pulling out to make his move otherwise it is blocking.

You could have the greatest driving skills in the world... and never get the luck of being a racing driver! Raw skill without money or luck is just that, raw, unusable talent for driving fast! I know this because I was one of those people with all the talent for driving but never had a chance to prove it. That is why I feel like I have wasted my life perfecting my skills and for what, being the fastest courier in the world making only 200$ driving 300+ miles per day 4 days a week... until I got hit while at a red light by a speeding truck and now it hurts to drive! That was over a year ago, now I'm 40, disabled and broken, mind body and soul! I had the dream of being one of the best drivers in the world... but I was born with spine issues that only got worse after the crash to where I'm in a wheelchair most days! No racing for me, no testing my skills and living my dream... Just pain and suffering. That is what I get for having a dream that only 1% of people ever get the chance of seeing come true. I would have been better off just not having a dream.

No man, i hear you i had a twin passion since ever, music and cars, i forgot the latter in the years, and just now rediscovering cars and getting into cars and racing is just like 10 years have been lifted off my shoulders, i dont know what will happen in the future, but i will never leave these two primal passions of mine. I cant

Defending is positioning the car in a way which makes the overtake more difficult and risky (for both). Blocking is positioning the car which makes the overtake impossible.

I had a car crash and had a pretty massive concussion, I blacked out for a bit, hazily drug myself out of the car, then just sat there for a long time. Didnt realize until I was in class a few days later that my head was screwed up. Ive also had a few concussions since that I rocked my head and while I didnt black out or anything, a day or two later my brain just wasnt right. One concussion I had it was like 2-3 days later then I went to an urgent clinic and couldnt tell my left from my right. My mood was all over th place for a while, calm as could be, then a second later I broke my hand punching my fridge, then just depressed for a few months. I remember having onee concussion before thanksgiving, going to my aunt and uncles house and just being really confused and scared.

Not quite by himself, the Australian Jack Brabham built very successful Formula One cars in the sixties & seventies. Jacks cars were simple unlike Halls but brilliantly executed. Also Bruce McLaren whose cars absolutely dominated Can Am in the 1960’s, but was killed testing in 1970 in the seventies.

The damper/spring design with the spring in-line with the shock body ( see 0:23 in) is the worst setup you can give your car.
