I am doing these expeditions only now using a mod to unlock them again. Unfortunately, it seems the worlds update has caused the rendezvous systems to change. But even so, I appreciate you putting the coordinates and also showing where each system is relative to the previous one. I was still able to follow most of the guide and get it done, then circle back and do the rendezvous at the end.

As a new player, unaware about how these things actually work, I have randomly put couple of S-rank scanner upgrades next to each other and now, I am getting 150 thousand units per single plant/mineral/animal scan. Every visit on a new planet automatically equals couple of millions in units. I love the game.

I have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to buying building plans? My main save already has all of them so I don't understand what that does.

Thank you, very helpful. Why not grab the whispering eggs before you take off in your ship at the first location? I just did that to save me the trouble later.

The site where you find your ship is somewhat random, so most don't have the eggs

I knew there was some kinda order that I didn't know about considering that i would watch the numbers on the sides change depending on what i placed next to what despite them all still being adjacent. But that was basically the extent of it. I never learned exactly what makes those numbers higher.

How do you know that the S-Class multi-tool has a 40% damage bonus? Is there a way to check it? Because a Sentinel multi-tools have a damage range from 25-50% and I want to know how it compares to my other ones. Btw, thanks for the guide, it worked great for me. I wish I had more multi-tool slots at least one for each type.

Hi and sorry if this is a silly question as this is my first expedition. Why are we not claiming the expansion slots when provided as rewards? Is it due to increased nanite cost when moving the multitool to the main save? What happens to the expansion slots rewards then, can they be claimed after the expedition on the main save after it ends or are they lost? Great guide by the way!

If you don't claim them when it prompts they'll be given as items in your inventory. You will be able to put a number of items from the expedition save into the expedition terminal in the anomaly after completion to then access them on your primary save. Basically you can take them back to your primary save and use them there where they'll be useful on a more permanent basis :)

For anyone wondering, you need to go back to the anomaly quicksilver merchant and reclaim the waker parts again. It wont cost anything but a slight little annoyance never the less.

Somthing is downloading now for me on switch, i hope it fixes the bugg i ran into. I cannot dismiss my sqaurdon i picked them randomly thinking i can change their ships and upgrade or customize but was wrong can only urgrade pilots. So i wanted to dismiss them. I clicked the button they still here and cant picck new ones

Thank you for this video and the step by step guide, I was able to finish the expedition and upgrade my multi-tool. Regarding Blood in the Water, I went to the exact coordinates in Eardog Sigma, and there weren't any base in there. However, there were Alluring Specimens within 300u of the coordinates so I was able to complete the quest regardless. Regarding Iron Giants, I went to the exact coordinates but wasn't able to see your base there, though someone else's showed up.

This is absolutely the best guide out there, but I am very worried that I’ll do something wrong when ending the expedition. I want to bring the multitool, and ship with me to my primary save. How do I do this? I can’t find any guides explaining it properly.

Just have them as you active my and ship within the expedition save, then return to primary save via menu and at the expedition terminal in the anomaly you can copy them. You can do this at any time in the expo, as in the copy function

I was surprised to find the mech parts in the “buy” section, not the “expedition” section of the Quicksilver store. Glad to get the parts. Never hunted with the Minotaur before. Pretty handy!

I hope that they improve staff animations in first person, or have it off to the side like a weapon in Skyrim. So I’m not just whipping it out of no where whenever I aim. Also the shadows for it ❤

Been dealing with the bug where refiners are deleting what put it them unless I sit by them in-range. Been getting really frustrating but hoping that gets dealt with as well.

One way to make them more stable is to have them far apart, they implemented a few ways to fix this over the years, non perfect. You want each refinery to be at minimum 1 large floor panel away from each other. The issue is usually caused by 2 or more refiners inventories getting confused upon reloading the area. The inventory of a refinery is saved not to the refinery but to the coordinates, so when it loads it'll sync inventory with a refinery at that location, when 2 are close enough it may confuse it and wipe the inventory. At least that's how I think it works based on my understanding of the games mechanics. There have been various duplication exploits based on the sharing of portable refinery inventories over the years too
