Now, my phone doesn't always display what I am told I should be seeing. I have clicked on every single tab and icon and not finding what I need. Today is July 6, 2024. I ABSOLUTELY HATE MY WYZE CAM V3 (with latest firmware and 128gb TF card). If you don't hate yours it is because you have not tried changing the settings. Here are some of the reasons I detest this thing. (1) It is hot, running 24 degrees above ambient temperature. (2) I was unable to beat the Event Recording options into submission. No matter what I tried it just recorded its dinky little 1 minute 20fps videos, and did not follow my instructions. (3) Since this failed and I was hoping to record SOMETHING for a month in this remote property, I tried Time Lapse, setting it at the "3 sec" interval. This would be expected to record 1 frame rather than 3x20 frames for a savings in space. Again, nothing but those idiotic itty-bitty 1 minute full-motion videos was recorded. (4) I took the TF card to my Windows PC to confirm that it was misbehaving. On launching the drive, I get the message, "Do you want to scan and fix (this drive). The choice is yes or no and I chose "no". The examination of the files confirmed my fears, that there was nothing under the folder, "Timelapse"". The thing had burned through 7.17 Gb of space in my 13-hour test. (5) Even if the time lapse function worked and used the expected .22 Gb/day, the software demands an end date for the time lapse (duh???) which must be no longer than 4 weeks. (6) Even if the time lapse function worked, you may not alter the settings without forcing the app to stop (Android) and unplugging the camera in order to regain control. I could go on and on. I first stupidly tried the Pan Cam but there was no way to defeat the very very noisy panning motor, which would beckon any burglar in a quiet house. If it loses the subject it seeks all around, sometimes stopping the search on a place where no motion will ever happen (like a blank wall). The software creators obviously forgot to beta test their firmware and app. Again, I detest the products that I have tried from Wyze. I'm not afraid of tech. I was a computer programmer for 30 years.

I just received mine but can't find the app in GooglePlay. Was it removed by any chance? Can the robot still be used without the app?

Is there a fast-forward feature for non-event recording? The event was not triggered and tying to watch for it but can only watch SD card at 1x. Is there a way in the app to make it 2x,16x and faster. Needing to watch 12hrs 😅

I just got mine yesterday and for the life of me I cannot get the bottom of the doorbell to fit into the bottom slots of the plate. The top part goes in easy but I can't get the bottom to slide in. The wiring is out of the way.

Since you've used both apps would you recommend one over the other considering fps, audio quality, picture-in-picture, etc?

Hey, maybe you'll be able to help me with my issue with this camera. I pointed this camera it at my back garden through the window and when the night mode turns on the glare from IR lights dazzels the sensor and the video is completely white out. I tried changing settings of the Night Boost, for example I tried indoor mode instead of outdoor more, it didn't change the outcome. But the bigger issue I'm having is that for some reason night boost mode somehow turns itself back on again after I turn it off and get back out of the setting menu. I tried resetting the camera - it still does it. Any ideas why that might be? Thank you.

Unable to charge battery. Tried the cable that came with it - no light indicating it was charging. Left it on all night, no sign of the battery being charged. Tried the exact same procedure noted above with a different cable, same result. I pressed the button on the stalk feature - nothing. Am I missing something? Received as a gift. Thanks.
