I understand the frustration of this guy, but if you got used to a software from the beginning and learned all the tools and shortcuts, you will feel frustrated thinking that the new software is the same one you already used and it is not. The new user will misjudge any new software because it is not configured as they are used to. It happened to me with *Lightwave 3D* when I was already in *3DS Max* so I left *Lightwave 3D* but now I use *3DS Max and Blender*

This character made with Cloud Rig? Can you create course about pro rigging? i would buy
@BrianKouhi2 күн бұрын
Max is made with Rigify as a base and months of custom work on top. We are in the process of creating a rigging course due to high demand, but it will be some time before we're ready to release that.

@@BrianKouhi Thanks for the answer! When I saw your character I was impressed, because it looks like Snow. But Blender studio is in no hurry to create a full-fledged Rigging course with their Pipeline extensions. I've seen Rigging by Demetr Dzadik streaming, but it doesn't look like a course. So, I'm asking you, if possible, in the course of rigging use with Blender Studio pipeline (Cloud Rig, Geonode Shapekeys,Pose Shape Keys, Easy Weights, Lattice Magic)

In Blender 4.0 when changing position after setting the button to activated, it brings changes of position through all animation. So i may suggest, this tool doesnt work on Blender 4.0.
@BrianKouhi4 күн бұрын
The support stopped for it on 3.6, the creator however is working with Blender Devs to bring some of the features into vanilla Blender

This rig is amazing. I'm just starting your course. One question i had though sense this is a hybrid rig would it be compatible with arkit mocap? That way I could clean up the motion capture on the face using the controllers?
@Jerrytohg12 күн бұрын
Im using graphic design, animation, compositing softwares since 25+ years ago. The problem I found with blender was the community... at those v2.3 era.. everyone was telling and mocking.. "Its this shorcut.. press that.. press this.." like if they were feel "different" mostly using just shortcuts. I sense a lack of visual design for the purpose of the software. Why in the hell I should adapt to a tool... with tons of shortcuts??.. being a visual artist, VISUAL artist, I need a BLEND of visual tools and muscle memory (SHORTCUTS) to work. Games exploit muscle memory with WASD keys, you want a combo?? then learn shortcuts. But the common actions are there.. because... they want the people playing immediately! Design and VFX software needs a nice balanced blend of common sense standarized from decades ago, and I know is not a copyright issue for the shortcuts to be like other software.

But realistically, Blender's UI is terrible by comparison to other 3d programs. It's like the zbrush of free programs.
@hubris0418 күн бұрын
That's your opinion, I find Blender UI more beginner friendly than Maya or Cinema 4D. Don't forget that Blender is very complex and compact at the same time. Yes, Blender is unfortunately not perfect, but just because it's free, it doesn't mean it is bad .

How to learn Blender 1. What do you wanna do with Blender? 2(a). Something very specific? Just look up a specific tutorial. 2(b). Generally use it? Watch Blender Guru's tutorial. 3. Is Blender Guru's tutorial too long? And you skipped it? Well that sucks, you're gonna get lost on your second project and turn to him anyways. So watch it. 4. Get good at typing specific problems into google and using the blender subreddit, cuz you're gonna suck for awhile.

What if we live in the U.S. and most jobs are being outsourced to other countries? Can we still work from home, like say I apply to a studio in another country and work for them even while I still live in the U.S?
@BrianKouhi19 күн бұрын
It's possible, but the US probably has one of the biggest # of animated projects. So if you're in the US you have the highest chance of landing a job in the US.

Ooof This maya animator is trying to run before he can crawl. I see a lot of maya artist drive into blender without learning the basics. Dude need to swallow that maya pride and get to learning.
@kranonetwork18 күн бұрын
It's kinda the issue of learning software packages sometimes. You have to deal with these things that seem minor to some people but aren't. It's frustrating when you spend years learning 3D modeling only to be told that you are too prideful when basic features are now not in the place you expect them to be. You learned how to run a marathon, now you are literally shot in the knee and told to run again.
