You know, I could see why the production had to use CGI Models and Animatronics for the Animals that've come out of the game. Because if they used real African Monkeys, a Real Lion, a real Crocodile, real Rhinos, real Elephants, real Zebras, or even a Real Pelican, the audience would be unsure if they were really from the game.

I think the whole Rube Goldberg type stuff is death trying to make sure that the victim can't escape, since they escaped one time it doesn't want them to slip away this time. Hence why the first guy gets the cord wrapped around his neck so he can't escape, why death stabs miss Luton as many times as possible since she's still moving after the glass and why it might go for the quick 100% fatal kills when possible, like with the bus and decapitating Billy, we see it acting the same way in final destination 2, making sure it has someone before killing and doing the quick kills where possible.
@deusdeaconReviews
@deusdeaconReviews 8 күн бұрын
why is that more efficient then stopping their hearts ? especially when most of the death is a case of a single step to the left and they're fine, just a lot luck involved from deaths perspective.
@PRESIDENT_LEMON
@PRESIDENT_LEMON 8 күн бұрын
@deusdeaconReviews I don't think death has that ability, the ability to induce medical means like heart attacks or cancer of something of the like cause we never see death do it. We always see the deaths caused in final destination are always external, plane explosions, car crashes, roller coaster accidents, it's always freak accidents and never something small or simple, so following occam's razor it's more likely that death doesn't have control over these things and has to use accidents rather than the much more assumptive it could do it this way, but just chooses not to.

Anyone recall all the cults/churches people did open up all over the place in the mid late 90s leading up to the year 2000. Was it due to the year 2000 and people getting weird, or the change in tax? Someone please do a vid on this. Most of their bit was about the year 2000, so I guess when nothing happened, it all did fall apart.

Ya know, there's something to the idea of being wished out of existence. Imagine if this movie was about the girl being manipulated by her boyfriend, and the Djinn, into making wishes, and at the end when she realizes just how crazy things are, she wishes that her boyfriend had never been born. Or that they'd never met. Sure, it would re-use the paradox ending of the original, but it could have been a more interesting story than this.

There is a subplot that is revealed in the deleted scenes, also in the R rated cut, where it's revealed that Hill can hypnotize people. He was behind the Dean expelling Dan, also helps explain how he controls the reanimated.

It never made sense to my why the vampires were almost instinct. I get the lycans have a track record of being able to beat them in a fight, but follow this beat: Both vampires and lycans can add to their numbers with a single bite with a 100% success rate, as long as they are not of the opposite race (not counting those of the Corneus lineage). I can understand Lycans not wanting to increase their numbers rapidly in the first film. Lucian's mission was to broker peace, which would be harder to do if he couldn't keep a reign of everyone. Makes perfect sense! The vampires, though? They've stated several times that their numbers are dwindling. That they're an endangered species, basically. So why don't they go on a "campaign drive" of sorts and convert as many as they can! I know some are bound to bring up their food source like in the Daybreakers movie, but unlike in that movie, the vampires were able to develop synthetic human blood since the first movie, so what's the point of them holding back?! The vampires clearly have the financial resources to funnel into R&D to make it airborne if they wanted to. That's why it would make way more sense to have it where they began infecting the world to turn everyone into vampires, and the lycans escalated in kind. That way you now have a very public world war where humanity is now threatened with extinction and Celine is the one trying to save them and broker a peace treaty, continuing Lucian's mission. Now that would have been an awesome Underworld sequel!

Regarding the BS about the first lycan coming out of his 600-year prison like nothing happened: What's sad is that the writers already had an interesting idea in their back pocket if they had even bothered to look. You know how the head vampires kept themselves in those chambers for centuries looking all mummified? They could have had it so this was the lycan version of it! Hell! They could have made it the very first one of its kind! It would make a lot of sense, too! Not only would this have been made by the vampires, obviously, but it would make sense to put a super strong werewolf in suspended animation since he's in a 600-year-old stone prison with no guards or even a regular maintenance staff. And not forgetting those who come out of that suspended animation required gallons of blood to literally rehydrate themselves (for vampires, anyway), you could have it be the same for the lycan, if with a different food source. In fact, have the "food source" be Michael! Have it where learning about the hybrid is Markus' call to action. After so many centuries, there is at last hope for him to free his brother from his prison while also restoring his humanity. However, the amount of meat/blood that would be required to restore his brother would kill Michael. Furthermore, there's an equal chance that it may turn his brother into an even worse abomination that would allow him to create other feral lycans from not just people, but vampires and other lycans as well. Feral lycans that are immune to both silver and sunlight. The chances of whether it'll indeed help Markus' brother or doom the world is 50/50 with it killing Michael a 100%. Setting up a villain arc where Markus is too blinded by his love for his brother, resentment for his father, and his own guilt & regret to listen to anyone, following blind hope! This way you continue to build on top of the plot from the previous movie (if indirectly), you give Markus a compelling motivation, up the anti with the real global threat, and adding some personal stakes for Celine!

Who ever stated in the film that the craft that the Blair Thing was working on was a " space ship"? Its more likely a hovercraft of some kind.
@deusdeaconReviews
@deusdeaconReviews 27 күн бұрын
no one said it was a hovercraft either why wouldn't it just be a round car if we use that logic, but it was traditionally UFO-shaped and we see a similarly shaped craft (even though a lot larger) crash land at the start, so it's a reasonable assumption to make.
@daverobson3084
@daverobson3084 27 күн бұрын
@@deusdeaconReviews Is it? Why? All that the "things" need to do is make it to anywhere but the middle of nowhere, in order to overtake the world. They don't need to get to a different planet. They just need to get to somewhere better on this one. Why go through all of the extra effort to make a space worthy vessel( which is several orders of magnitude harder than making a hovercraft) when they don't have to??? We make " similarly shaped craft" that don't do the same things all of the time. many submarine/submersible models have a rather strong resemblance to some of our space craft, but they hardly travel in the same medium.

@@deusdeaconReviews As to " why wouldn't it be a round car..." Sure. To do what? Drive a hundred feet and get stuck in the snow? No cars there because cars don't cut it there. You can probably count the number of cars on the whole Antarctic continent on one finger. Maybe with fingers to spare. You need flying, hovering, or tracked vehicles. (Or a dog sled, I guess, but the dogs were all dead then. )
@deusdeaconReviews
@deusdeaconReviews 27 күн бұрын
firstly "flying" and "space worthy" are not the same thing and secondly your absolutely right "No cars there because cars don't cut it there." so the logical assumption eliminates certain vehicles, glad you agree with my own methods because as you say "You need flying, hovering, or tracked vehicles"

So thinking about it what would happen if say the person who woke up the Djinn died before he could grant the three wishes, he'd basically be stuck as the rule is he specifically has to grant three wishes of the person who freed him, but if that person dies then he literally can never accomplish that. Surprised the movies never tried that.
