Curious about your mic setup - the thumping of the keyboard is quite intense and makes it hard to watch. I'm assuming your mic is attached to a stand that attached to the desk with the keyboard? Maybe a lapel mic or mic stand that is not attached to desk will make it better. Love the knowledge you have and sharing!

Hi Ellen, I'm really liking this theme and wondering what you thought if it could be possible to tweak this theme using blocks so that it can be a business website with a blog... It would be great help if there's a video to understand the block patterns and how best to utilise them to their utmost potential.

The "board" or "area" is just fukkiin page builder.. The human brain gets bored so often that it needs to rename stuff and put it in the next drawer to feel and pretend that this is a game changer that never was there before to overcome the feeling of life doing the same repeating stuff over and over again. No offense here but this is no innovation by WP here. Just another shirt that looks and feels like the one from yesterday 😴

Mega schönes Theme. es klappt alles auch fantastisch. jetzt möchte ich nur noch die Index Seite auf mehr Spalten einstellen. aber es geht einfach nicht. es sind 2 und ich kann es nicht ändern. kannst du mir einen tipp geben? es ist wie auf der theme homepage, im deinem video sind es mehr...lieben gruss

I followed a tutorial about creating my own theme. In the video, he explained about a functions file being used so that I could add CSS to the style.css file in the 2023 theme folder. What I don't understand is why the 2023 & 2024 themes don't already have a funtions.php file.

They also have a functions.php file so you can add custom CSS if needed still via this file. As they also have theme.json a lot of settings can be set there already. I will do more videos shortly showing that and also explaining all the files in block themes. I will use 2024 as an example, so I hope this will be helpful.

hi Elma! I so appreciate you posting this content as I'm currently using your Moog block template! One run-in I'm having that I hope you can help - I can't seem to figure out why I can't get my 2-column post template to turn to 4 columns. I've done the correct steps but something seems to be locking the post template grid into two columns max. TYIA!

Hi and wow, so cool that you are using Moog. I hope you love working with it. So we built the theme so that the columns layout switches automatically when the screen size gets wider. So I feel it might be that you are working on a laptop, as the 4 columns only occur on wider screens. You can test this with Control +/- and if you use minus you should see the columns changing. Is this helpful? If not, please let me know.

It really depends on the website, but I definitely feel you can build a somewhat simpler WordPress site even with WooCommerce already without Elementor and only use a block theme. It is so much faster and lighter that it's especially worth it for eCommerce. But there are still limitations for designs, so it would need to be a simple design.

Small bits of daily routines or updates - wordpress related or not - would be cool. 😊 maybe also daily gears you are using for work - computer, monitor, mouse, etc.

Congratulations! I also started with the M1 Air, appreciating its incredible power and lightweight design. Eventually, I upgraded to the M3 Pro, though it's noticeably heavier. In hindsight, your choice seems wiser for those valuing portability. What a fantastic Christmas present to treat yourself to! 🎉

This is a lovely theme, Elma. It's a little bit like Pinterest. I'm not very clever with WordPress, I've spent a lot of time trying to make my own themes and I just go round in circles. I love the dark theme Aurora. The only adjustment I did was to make the transitions on the links a bit longer, 0.5s. Otherwise, I'm over the moon with it. You've saved me a lot of work.

Hi Ellen. I'm trying to customise this theme but my WP dashboard Appearance only has the old Theme File Editor. What should I do? I'm on WP 6.4.1.

Oh, that is strange. So you don't see Appearance ? Editor and then the new Site Editor with the black sidebar at all? Do you have Moog already as active theme? As only once you have it active, you will see the new Editor mode? Let me know if this is still not helpful. You can also directly email me using the support badge on our Elmastudio website.

I had the same problem when I uploaded it to my site. I think it's a PHP issue. My home server runs PHP 8.2 but the server I use for my free hosting is using an older version of php, something like 7.4.

@@hellofath I've done that but it still doesn't work. I checked to see if all the json files had uploaded and they have, so my next step will be to play around with the json file to load it manually. I don't pay for this web hosting, it's on byethost, and it's total cr*p.

Hi, what about the background image? I try to use an image and, when I published my new home page, this image appears blurred. I think the problem was the dimension of my jpeg but I've tried a lot of images and the effect was the same: blur.
