And yet, they managed to finish the song - true professionals.

Wow, sorry it took so long for me to find this! I was fortunate enough to see Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman onstage live doing Phantom so I am VERY picky about my POTO renditions. This is my second favorite. It gives me chills. And as fellow Phans, let me recommend the book, “Phantom” by Susan Kay...it’s my second favorite book I read it every other year at least. It tells the story of his life...from different people’s viewpoints. It’s excellent!

I was lucky enough to see Crawford and Brightman on stage doing Phantom of The Opera, so it's hard to compare anything to that (I am a bigtime Grobanite, but even Josh singing "Music of The Night" could not quite compare), but this is my favorite "non-traditional" version of the song. Also, for any Phans who have also read the original book, and seen most of the other versions, I recommend my second favorite book of all time, "Phantom," by Susan Kay. Oh, and I was an English Major and am a HUGE Bibliophile!

DravenGal My all time Favourite band is Pink Floyd. So I know were they stole it from. So I am not impressed. Price & Webber are two of if not the biggest rip-off/plagiarists is the history of the music industry.

The chord in which they move the note at 5:05 and 5:06 on this video (not the time progression on their original--- your 5:05, not theirs, just so you aren't confused) is probably the most beautiful thing that I have ever heard--- EVER! This is an old Celtic song and these two men are like listening to gods singing. This is a spellbinding version of an already moving, powerful, and haunting song. Your reaction was perfect. I think you must have an old soul.

I have watched dozens of reactions to this song, and you are the only one who reacted in a way of which you really got the magnitude of the words, and the arrangement, and the blending of the two voices, and the crazy harmonies. When Avi moved the note on the word "stands" between 4:00 and 4:03, and the way that they both pushed the crescendo, along with the vibrato that they used there; well, I think that it might be the most beautiful sound that I have ever heard, not just musically, but out of all the sounds on earth, period. Just the mere sound of that small portion of the song brings tears to my eyes every time. Every time. This performance was like two gods or mythical creatures or angels singing. This level of strange and mystical beauty is not something that we are suppose to experience on this planet. . . amazing. . .

I love how Home Free sings with Legends and the Legends show appreciation to them... It takes some chops to hang with Kenny Rogers and keep up with his talent. It didn't seem that he was holding back, almost like they challenged his talent and he brought out theirs!
