🤔 Not too sure about expansion but I wish Minnesota would have kept the NORTH STARS Name. Loved that logo.

I think the Thrashers/Jets best trade is acquiring Byfuglien for a late 1st and 2nd round pick (and other low level players)

Tbh I think it should top out at 48 teams. I think that getting teams in: Atlanta Milwaukee Indianapolis Houston Phoenix (once the Coyotes move out and the local economy recovers) Baltimore (I know it sounds weird because DC is close, but the Ravens have a good media market and I think Baltimore could handle an NHL team, too) Jacksonville (Florida is huge) Quebec (maybe once the population grows) Hamilton Saskatoon Hartford (northeasterner here, I just want another team in my region) Oklahoma City (I could see power costs being an issue, but other than that, it's cool) Kansas City Cincinnati Cleveland Portland, OR

That's not the full story. He disputed some bad calls with the referee & got into a heated argument. He threw some hockey sticks on the ice & was kicked out of the game & that's when he waved the white towel on the hockey stick.

nhl need expansion. at first it may be tough to get talent however if the teams interact with kids and create community programs talent will develope. canada can take at least 8 more teams. then mid season do a canada cup and american cup best of 3 series victoria, kelowna, regina, saskatoon , team 2 for toronto, haifax, red deer. split team in new brunswick fredricton and st jhon quebec. when many teams started the markets were small and then the areas grew to support the team

Boucher did better saves in his record 5 shutout streak in Arizona, Turco in Dallas made better game winning saves than Kari, in Nashville Rinne made a pad twist desperation game winning save against Vancouver, I'm sure Roloson/Fernandez made the best saves in Minnesota, Lalime had the best saves in the 2003 playoffs for Ottawa, Luongo definitely saved a series with a desperation blocker for Vancouver similar to the one Holtby did in Caps.

Mike Sillinger's 9x trade episode reminds me of my dumb little sister being transferred to different schools after 1 or 2 years. The difference is simple. Sillinger has an incredible work rate, while my sister couldn't answer a simple Math or Algebra question

Well, the birthplace thing doesn't gel well with most Europeans. Players born into army families or families displaced after the World Wars... Ukrainian hockey has no relationship to Bondra and vice versa. Shouldn't a list like this be about the best players PRODUCED in a country? (I.e. raised and trained in a country?) Possibly with "representing the national team" as an exception overruling the principle? Any yeah, it would count as "produced in x" if they were good enough to enter the North American youth systems. Well, thanks to Leon that I don't have to see Dany Heatley mentioned as the best "German" player anymore... (Nothing against Dany, and he has the German citizenship but he started playing back in Canada.)

Man I Really thought Calgary burned Florida in that trade. For the team that had no choice but to trade a player that wanted out I thought Florida gave away way too much. Heart breaking how bad Huberdeau has been for Calgary. Seems like every trade Florida makes works out great for them.

The idea behind this video was great, but the decision to use the birth place of players instead of their nationality was a mistake that led to some strange results. It is very unfortunate, because the video was otherwise greatly made.
