This Rob, I was one of the peddle bike riders when we met in July 2024, on the Rail Trail near Saunders. Darren and I are going to ride from Cadomin to Box Canyon on our Mountain bikes. Do you have a GPX file or do you simply leave Cadomin to Cardinal divide, then past the Cardinal divide, stay right to get on the Box Canyon trail head? There could be a few tricky sections where we may have to choose to get super wet or hike a bike through the swampy sections. How many KM from Cadomin to the end of Box Canyon? Any tips or precautions we should be aware? Thanks.
@foggydew646
@foggydew646 4 күн бұрын
Hey Rob, as far as box canyon it is approximately 37 km from Cadomin (one way) to the Falls. Your directions are good, just remember that the trail head is about 500 meters to 1km from Cardinal Divide. Be sure to have bear spray. Drop me an email at [email protected] and I will send you the GPX file. Any other questions put them in the e-mail and I will do my best to answer them.

Why is the red Sxs have a tire on backwards
@foggydew646
@foggydew646 4 күн бұрын
Better traction in reverse... Kidding, good catch though, my Dad hooked something up in Grande Cache and slit the side wall. This was the spare wheel and tire we picked up prior to that trip. That's the problem with a directional tread pattern vs non directional.

Okay, if this happens again check the small fuse box by the drivers left knee cap. There’s a blue 15amp accessory slot fuse. (& also a spare 15amp from factory) If you exceed volume 8 thereabouts with execrate bass, it can blow that 15 amp head unit fuse. This was a common issue on 19-23 model RZR 1000xp 4. Pull that fuse out and turn the key over & you will see what I mean. Or if you’re reading this comment check that fuse before taking it to a dealer.
@foggydew646

Thanks for the info naturethroughframes, I did check the fuse before taking it in, I probably should have mentioned that in the video, lol... I did not know about the volume thing, so thanks for the heads up on that. Max 7 volume it is for me now.. Thanks again for the info and I appreciate the comment.

Wow! Fantastic job filming and editing. This is Rob, we met on the rail trail near Saunders in July 2024, Darren and I were on gravel and mountain bike. Your videos are so appreciated. Darren and I are going to tackle Box Canyon in August 2024 on our mountain bike. Any advice? I think Big Horn trail will be on the list. It was a pleasure and honor to meet you. Thanks Rob, it was nice meeting you and Darren on the trail. I'm glad you enjoy the videos. As far as box canyon it is an amazing area and as you and Darren don't shy away from a challenge you will love the scenery. Do you run with a GPS? if so send an email to [email protected] I can send you a GPX file of the trail. If you don't run with a GPS you can download Polaris Ride command for free, just need to create an account and you can use it as your gps on your phone. Bear spray is a must as I'm sure your aware. Send me an e-mail with all your questions and I will do my best to answer them. Thanks again Rob for the comments. I truly appreciate it.

Nice, I know that part of the trail out at McLean, the burned down trailer was towed out on June 15th as part of the Trails4Tomorrow clean up. Loving the McLean content, I'll be out there in my gladiator tomorrow and Saturday, it's a great area. I'm debating on getting an offroad camper trailer or a side-by-side next year, your videos sure do make RZRs look fun. Cheers!

Does it give you any issues while towing on a smaller trailer?
@foggydew646
@foggydew646 Ай бұрын
That was my concern when attempting this, but I found that with the duel axle and pulling it up the extra 4-5 inches it actually tows great. There is enough weight on the hitch that I can disconnect the trailer with the SxS on and it does not tip backward. The one thing to remember is that different manufactures will put there axles in different places. So be aware of that. Hope this helps.
