I'm proud to announce that the course is complete and released to Udemy!!! Thank you all for being my students. I enjoyed creating this course, and I hope you enjoy taking it as much as I did making it. Here's a Udemy coupon: www.udemy.com/course/ue5-ultimate-bp-course/?couponCode=BP_ULTIMATE

Thank you sir. You are a great teacher. I really liked your toon tanks tutorial on Udemy and for this one it helped out that you showed the documentation and how to do enhanced input in blueprint first.

Although it would help if you link the docs in the description since what ever reason i cannot find them easily when i search the exact things you are searching...

Stephen, I love these shorts! They are just as good as your paid content.

BTW if you DO change it in Blender then you can change the transform pivot point to "3D Cursor" and hit R, then Y or X (Y in the case of this sword) and type in 180 and you'll get it rotated. Of course it is dependent on if you're possibly going to need to re-import the model again at some point. Then it's better to do it in Blender, but otherwise UE's modelling mode is the way to go.

This looks super exciting! I am going through your GAS class now and have learned a ton. Also picked up the multiplayer course to learn more about networking. I am both an artist and a dev so I understand the c++ but truthfully I really prefer working in blueprints. It just makes more sense in my head and I like how everything is visually laid out. Even when I can implement GAS in c++ I still prefer to get started with something like GAS Companion. I've heard that if you like BP, start there and just profile your game to see what you should convert into c++ as you go. My question is, how big of a game can you make with mostly BPs? I've made tons of demos like coin pickups and platformers but nothing with any broader scope. For instance, I'm looking at one day creating something akin to Deep Rock Galactic, less in scope, but similar features (FPS, up to 4 player multiplayer, waves based enemies).

I believe it is going to depend on the game and the mechanics involved. There are plenty of games made entirely in Blueprint, though there are pros and cons to each, and certain features that are better done in C++. So in short - it depends!

I got early access through Patreon, and this isn't just a blueprint course-it's THE Blueprint course! So far, it's the best course I've ever taken. The responses for support are almost instantaneous, with super in-depth explanations, and you'll deeply understand why things are done the way he shows. And the full course isn't even out yet! Huge thank you to Stephen and his team. There are limited resources to learn game development in my country, so I'm so grateful.

I was moving forward when I pressed `S` despite having a negate modifier set. Turns out, I forgot to change `Value.Get<bool>()` to `Value.Get<float>()`, so if you run into that issue, that's likely it. ;)

Clean and Proper video, a life saver, thank you so much !!!! I just have one question. If I uploaded the skeleton and the animations to Blender first, and later wanted to add more animations, do I have to upload the skeleton with the animations again, or will just the animations alone work?

When you are likely to release this on Udemy ? Though I purchased all ur C++ courses I will be buying this as well. This will definitely help to prototype something quickly with Blueprints.

I mean it's cool, but the tutorial is, setup, now use this specialized plugin I made that I don't go over, now it works.. I didn't learn anything past EOS account setup, which by the way WAS well done.
@DruidMechanicsGameDevelopment12 күн бұрын
The plugin is more complex than a single video can explain - it's built from scratch in my Multiplayer Shooter Udemy course.
