You can also add a TOP lookup between the noise and the null (color). Add a ramp to the 2nd input of the lookup, select the black point and choose another color :) Great video, thank you ♥

how do I make that layout from the beginning? When I start the tutorial and add the sphere the black background doesn't show up

Hi! In the video, you can see my network on the left and the preview on the right. By default, that preview leaves the background black, but if you want to add it, you can insert an "rgbkey" TOP and you're all set.
