I’m fixing to do mine I just bought a 2003 an I got a 05 hemi I’m swapping the hemi over to the 03 4.7 better body on the 03

Will I have to do anything with the actual peddle out of the 4.7? Like will I have to take the gas peddle out of the 5.7 and put it in the 4.7! I understand the box part.

Hi there im try to swap a 4.7 from a ram 1500 with a 5.7 hemi from a grand Cherokee what i must to do with the ICU and all the cables? Just swap them too?

Thanking about doing a crazy build on my GC how did you swap the drive by wire thinking bout just buying the ram Tcm pcm and the engine harness for a 5.7 and everything else so work as planned

Hey what's up so if you plan on doing a 5.7 get the harness that goes into the fire wall out to the engine bay and runs around both fenders pluse you will need the computer for that engine and you should be good

I have a 2013 Ram 1500 4X4 with a 4.7L that’s on its way out, I can’t find anything about what year 4.7’s are compatible or and info on doing the 4.7 swap to the 5.7 which I would do if I could find the correct information… anyone know any answers?

Does the pedal cable that s on the 4.7 reach to where the black box that goes under battery. The 4.7 cable looks shorter or do I need to move the black box?

Yes it dose no need to change it it will work

I am gathering the parts to do this to my 04 Grand Cherokee. It doesn't seem like it would be too hard, just hope the exhaust manifolds fit, it's pretty tight on the passenger side.

Nice what size engine are going with the 5.7 or 4.7 if you can it would be better if you can get the whole truck there for you have everything you need but good luck on your project

@@carloszng5 I have a 4.7 HO now, runs good however it's getting some miles on it. Instead of rebuilding it or replacing with same I'm going bigger. My friend has an 04 Ram with a 5.7 that was hit hard in the back, I am buying it and I plan on using the engine and trans with my current transfer case.

Nice mine had a 4.7 as well had 180k I rebuild it last yr but I had the chance of buy a 5.7 . But that's great you will need a few things to make it work all the wires harness and the computer and Maybe motor mount as well but you got this ones you take your engine out the doner engine will be easy

Ok so I recommend to buy the whole truck if you can and make sure it what your truck is if it's a 2dw or 4x4 because if they are not the saw you will have to mode the driver side engine mount

Could your friend build another bracket for the motor mount I'll love to buy it I'm going from a 4.7 to 5.7 in a 4x4 so I need the bracket

Omg, I need them for my truck as well! Bought an 04 dodge ram 2500 magnum hemi and the engine won’t fit right with the mounts I have.

Will the 4.7 Barnes work with the 5.7 fuse box or do you have to change the whole 4.7 harness and install the 5.7

You have to change all the wires. Nothing from the 4.7 will work

I have a 2005 4.7 single cab, I have a donor 2005 rumble bee 5.7 single cab both 2wd, the harness to connect to the inside of the cab for the dashboard a plug and play for the 4.7 to 5.7?

Hi I just seen you message yes you would have to take off the wire harness the one that goes to the fire wall and put the 5.7 in and yes it's the same plug the one that is inside the cab the white one

Hey I have a 03 4.7 put a 5.7 in same year wiring an motor in a 03 ram something wrong and won’t let me start or turn it over with the key I have power inside and everything works idk maybe u can help

Hi yes it will fit but the munts won't fit from the 2wd you will need 5.7 4x4 mount if you go to the dealership they will tell you they are the same and no they are not the same

But you need fuel line ac line change the wiper motor as well because the 5.7 is different mine was and if you can use the 5.7 torque converter o and the AC fan the plug is different as well but all explain in the video tomorrow
