Currently doing this in a WK Jeep 06 Hemi into a 05. By firewall harness you do mean the same one that the headlights and all plug into? And instead of a vacuum canister like on the 4.7 for the cruise I have 2 small sensors down behind the wheels on the firewall. Are these for the cruise somehow?

im switching from 4.7 to 5.9 2wheel drive what to do with flywheel the bolt patterns are different

Ok i know this is a bit late but im kinda lost now. I decided to swap my 4.7 to a 5.7. Here is the problem. The donar truck that had the 5.7 in it was a 2005. My truck the that had the 4.7 in it is a 2007. I know they changed the system in 2006. Here is what i need to ask. Will the harness from a 2005 that had a 4.7 in it work from the fuse block back? I know we need to change the harness due to the change that dodge did, just needing to know what i asked. Thanks for any info you can give.

I don't know if you'll get this hopefully you do my question is I have a friend that has a 2006 Dodge ram 1500 quad cab gasoline motor 4.7 automatic rear-wheel drive. Having a problem locating both motor mounts can I use motor mounts from a 2006 Dodge ram 1500 quad cab 5.7 once again 5.7 rear wheel drive. Are the motor mounts compatible between 4.7and 5.7 same year same rear wheel drive?

So ok, I'll 'share' my next year's project with ya'll, as if one cares. 04 4.7 extended cab 2WD lumber rack work truck w/ ~160,000miles. Has held together like a dream, except when the lft ft ball joint fell off. Yea, it was close as mph was under 10. Personally hands-on converting into a strong & head-turning road truck w/ the lumber rack (light work & hang gliding). Conversion to: 5.7 w/ supercharger, manual trany, beefy rear end & driveshaft, wider rims (Center Lines?), flared rear fender, dually exhaust w/ side pipes (Cali legal is target -yea yea) & thrush muffs, disc brakes @ all corners (drums in back @ present), modified hood, strip-down new paint, suspension system stiff & all modified & new, etc. Perhaps after I resurrect my channel here, I'll post some vids of the process & results. Some trucks just have the look & my 04 has that look. It's a keeper.

Will the motor harness plug into the 4.7 dash harness?

Hey bro, I need some advice and game on this. I’m helping a client and they did the swap to 5.7 magnum, however the engine harness looks spliced @ the firewall next to booster. I’m getting cranking but no start. I have fuel and the ecu gave fuel relay module and automatic shutoff circuit. I moved fuses and relays and I don’t get those codes. Still no start, only cranks. I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 $X$ full four-door with a 4.7 my husband Jeff bought a whole 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 2-wheel drive minus the cab with a 5.7 HEMI in it. I notice this video talks about the motor mounts won't work but you are talking about the 5.7 being a 4X4 going into a 2X4 4.7.

Howzit bro i did the swap but doesnt crank with the key but it will turn by jumping the starter relay. The dash comes on the radio and lights to but no spark when jumpin relay. Any thoughts?

Awesome video. I just swapped an 05 hemi into an 06 ram and one of the small connectors under the dash has a wire pinned different and the radio and heat and AC controls do not work did u have any problem with that. Also the truck I swapped it into has the security key and the owner had lost the key. Can that be bypassed. I used the complete engine harness and computer from the 05. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Did you use your same transmission. The 47re. I did the 5.7 swap my truck is an 02 and the motor is out of an 04. My transmission was working fine b4 I did the swap and now my transmission is stuck in 3rd gear. Limp mode.. it’s drivable but it’s stuck in 3rd. I was just wondering if anyone had the same problem. I also changed the tcm as well.

I have a 2002 4.7 dodge ram , my last engine was blown and then I got a new engine they told me it was 2002 engine but once it was inside the truck they told me it was a 2005 engine but still a 4.7 . Everything pretty much fit good except they told me I have to change the reluctor ring or the computer .
