She sounds amazing!! Resting the last couple of years because of pregnancy was great for her. She sounds like she did at the begining of The Emancipation of Mimi and during the Charmbracelet Tour.

i remember this song in mtv unpulgged back in 1992... when they were both young.... now they're 40's but the song is still fresh and brandnew.... didn't notice that it was 20 years ago..... ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS SONG

Mariah is having fun and able to play with the song. Imagine singing the same song for a million years. She's keeping it fresh. I for one appreciate it. Sounding so much better than the MJ tribute era. So pleased.

Her head voice and falsetto were on point here. very angelic, its just the raspy belts. When she hit falsetto, she really did have 90s quality vocals

Actually... on the broadcasted version, there was unnecessary rasp and hoarse effects were created only through her own mic, because the broadcasted recording quality over there was extra bad. Check and if you see thorough the audience footage posted on KZfaq, there is no sign of that same exact hoarseness from the broadcasted and all you really hear is her natural sounding clear voice as that year, with some minor raspy belts at the end. (This is actually the bt14 account typing and not actually that football fan acc)

I thought Gotham hall was really good but this performance slaughtered that one! She's slowly, slowly coming back to her old self, voice wise. The way she sang 'I'll be there' @ 5:00 SORT OF reminds me of the way old school Mariah would've! There are also certain parts in the other performances she also did it in the way she would've done it back in the day. Fkn LOVE it! I cant wait for new album world domination haha!

@Tamia1478, the stage manager tells everyone on stage what to where. Look up Mariah Carey 2006 new years. She's wearing a tiny short dress in below freezing weather. You can see her breathe and the audience are all wearing scarves and heavy coats. So yeah, the stage manager made trey wear that sweater

This was better than when she sang at MJ's memorial. Practice makes perfect. She has to get back at it before he album release. The performance was very well sung! A bit strained but we gotta give her a break! Looking forward for some more! LAMBILY!!

right whats sad is even the "fans" are doing the same thing if she talks at the end they say playback, if it sounds different than the original they go as far as to say it had songs combined with playback, its really sad when its obvious its live but people want to keep mariah in a box and say she cant do this or that anymore, when mariah is known for surprising and amazing
