I've been going back and fourth about this, certainly most of the singing was live, maybe the choros has a voice over to make her voice stronger, but not necessarily lipping. I compared this performance with another performance around the same time in Austria, I could tell some subtle differences in the choros which makes me think it was live. This performance is an octive lower than her 90s performance and the ending was simplified which makes me think they made it easier b/c it is live.

well, you have to keep in mind that she is not as young as she was back then... also I think there was a problem with the ear pieces?? or so she said before performing "I'll be there" dunno though. One thing for sure, she won't sound like the 90s Mariah we all fell in love with, so we better get used to it. Some people have fragile voices and chords, some don't.

Every singers do age. As person age, voice change. It's hard to sing those high notes especially when you are in your 40's.

She still got it, but she can improve it like in the 90's by losing her weight, lots of excersize for her breathing and her stamina.

i think the audience got slightly tired of applauding as this was the 16th song they have heard remember she performed for like 2 hours , singers like mariah and whitney have such strong voices and they need a lot of rest or else they wont recover from the strain of the huge notes they have to carry and sustain so some notes are synched that could potentially hurt their voice but most of this performance is live u could tell that she didnt have enough breath for that one night before the chorus

I'm actually a mariah fan..but fans can still tell when she's lipping. She didnt lip the whole song but 1:46 - 2:01 was lipped and 2:37 -3:21 ....all that was lipped. You can tell because her voice gets sooo deep just like it was when she was in her 20s because it was the recorded version. Im not a hater who will blow down...im a fan who knows mariah well enough to know when she's actually singing.

This is all live, her voice is more heavier, and the struggles with pitch because of her being older.

There are times every now and again that she does lip-sync like when she is tired. However, she is one of the best vocalists of all time and can actually sing rather than worship autotune and a computer. What many do not understand is that the voice has to be nurtured and as she over-exerts voice, nodules form, and her vocal flaps can't close fully giving her voice that raspy straining sound. As a Lamb4Life I must honor, the ever talented songstress Mariah Carey.

Those long notes in the finally choruses are lip synch'd. She isn't doing those live at all. The tone of her voices changes from the verses she *is* doing live to the choruses. It's a slight tonal shift but it is there.
