061 - Bloomin’ Swipe / No pillow paint? No problem!

Welcome back! In this video use my Bloomin’ Swipe technique to achieve the composition; my goal movement. Instead of pillow paint and paint mixed with untinted house paint, I’m using Primal Flow Acrylics Pouring Paint.

Absolutely stunning. The pouring paints are a great alternative. And the swiping of the cell activator give a great look and you have more control to get the lacing where you want it. I am waiting for all my goodies to arrive here in Australia so I can get into this really awesome art style. I have also been watching Tammy Anderson, Kanella, Waterfall Acrylics, who are great technicians. Have you watch COZ art, she really does some amazing work and has some terrific tips and tricks she uses, she gets some great lacing and she doesn't use all the products that Shelee pushed. She does use the Floetrol paint mix to swipe with but she uses a damp edged paper towel with terrific effects. All of all you wonderful artist are really bringing some pleasure during a very stressful time. Please keep up the wonderful works.

I did the this by accident the other day!!! I totally forgot to put a pillow down and thought I’ll try it anyway!! It actually worked great for me too!!!

Pretty, the silver fox is really nice. I haven't tried that color yet. I love using the primal flow paints for the bloom technique, they're the perfect consistency. What do you use to mix your cell activator? Watching the cells form was awesome 😍

Thanks, Trish; hope you’re well! Silver Fox and Incan Gold are my faves. For the CA, I am using Aussie Floetrol and Amsterdam opaque paints.

I love the blue & silver very Nice. Naptime Creations has been using the Primal Flow paints for her Blooms for a while now & has some great tutorial videos . I heard the seller is pretty low on stock due to everything going on...very nice paints though .

Love this, I live in the Netherlands so it's difficult to get Australian floetrol, do you have a tip how I can get that beautiful lacing anyway?

I have not had much experience with your products other than Amsterdam acrylic paints so not sure what you would need to use to achieve such results.

For the blue CA did you also use Amsterdam paint?

All of my CA paints are with Amsterdam opaque colors. It just doesn't work as well with others. :-)

Amazing. How did you like using the Prime Flow ready mixed products? I tried the Artist Loft ready mixed paint, but everything just ran together. Also does the Prime Flow have a shine, or do you varnish when dry? I like painting on a larger canvas. Thanks again. I look forward to hearing from you and watching your fabulous videos.

You used a lot of paint? Any reason for that?

I needed to be able to cover the canvas since I didn't do any kind of a base coat. I actually didn't have very much run off. If I had used any less, I would have had bald spots.
