Enjoyed watching this Damon. It looks like a good place to go for an exploration of the forest.

RG5355 There are so many places to explore in the Forest of Dean. I've lived nearby since 1988 and to be honest rarely gone in to the forest. I need to change that.

One of my haunts, i/we use the log cabins there, great, all mod cons, beats camping, ha, ha, ( might be going back in March ). Its a good little spot, nice walks and views on your doorstep or nearby, Coleford just down the road, ( I like Coleford ). I'll keep my eyes open for you lot when I'm there in future, maybe you could come and spend some time with us in our cabin/cabins, watch some Sky TV or use the internet, have a shower or bath or maybe sit in the hot tub on the veranda etc etc, you'd be welcome, ha, ha, thanks again mate.

Hi Damon. Just to let you know Taz Malik passed away on the 23rd march fighting cancer. He was only 58years old a very determined and positive person. He was one of you great fans who loved watching your videos and would tell everyone about them. His dream was to get a camper van do it up like your and travel England. All the best and good luck. Mrs Malik

Taz Malik Oh Mrs Malik, I'm so sorry, that's too young. Thank you for telling me. My mum was only 64 when she died, it leaves you feeling very cheated in a way. I'm sorry he never got to follow his dream, I hope channels like mine allowed him to at least live it through our eyes. Please take care and be kind to yourself, I know what grief and loss can do. X

Hi Damon, just love your videos especially camping out with Rick and Austin. Why not install a log burner and stay warm during the cold winter months? All the best Taz
@ninatheambulancecamper7 жыл бұрын
Taz Malik Thank you Taz ! I did consider one but I don't like the idea that it has to burn out rather than being switched off instantly. If I'm stealthing somewhere and get a knock on the door it's not easy to move on.

Great video Damon. There's nothing like a quick getaway in the camper to clear the mind. Works for me. Just wondering...I noticed that most of the campgrounds you and the boys frequent, while beautiful, are essentially fields. Are there sites in your vicinity where the actual camper spots are somewhat more situated within a forest (rather than having to walk to the forest as you do in Bracelands)? I live in British Columbia, Canada and am used to seeing forested sites, or at least trees/shrubs/bushes separating camping sites. Do you have federally managed campgrounds in the UK? Thanks keep up the great work !!

Roy Robson Thank you Roy ! We don't really have that here in the U.K. We live on such a small island really that our forests are treated as more of a premium area. We do have holiday sites like Centre Parcs where they have bought up woodland and built cabins very close to the trees etc but I don't think we have anything like you or where I've seen Eric (Nomadic Fanatic) camping, I wish we did though !

Hi Damon, How do you have your wiring set up so that the solar panels charge your leisure battery as well as the mains hook up? Do you have the solar charger AND a battery charger (from mains hook up point) going into the leisure battery at the same time? Been looking all over for the answer but cant work it out. Thanks.
@ninatheambulancecamper6 жыл бұрын
Paul Shepperd Hi Paul, yep have both connected at the same time, the charger and the solar regulator both have overcharging safeguards. My mains charger is the numax fit n forget type, its very clever and will autosense whats needed and where. Highly recommend one if you havent bought a charger already.

Thanks so much for the reply. Just in the planning stage at the moment. I've written down those names and products. Love the videos btw, its you, Rick, Austin and your vans that have inspired me to do my own van over the next few years :)

Paul Shepperd You’ll not regret it mate :), Nina is the second camper I have converted, and I truly cant see me without one now. Good luck in your build, let me know when you start if you are doing vids and i’ll come and have a look :)

Campervan Mike Hi Mike, I bought it from a local camping shop, I think it's 800w and 1600w, I'll double check that for you though.
