This footage is being released for the first time. It was not used or distributed for broadcast last year during the event. All of this footage is from Manasota Key, a small barrier island north of Captiva where the NE Quadrant of the eyewall impacted bringing maximum wind in excess of 150MPH.

Our friends in Cape Coral were in the attic while the roof flapped and their single story home filled with water. At one point the refrigerator floated out the front door. They're ok though. Modern construction is saving lives but people need to stop building so close to the edge of the water.

Your friends should’ve evacuated. They needlessly put their lives in danger. If they needed to be rescued, then they put the lives of other people in danger. People need to actually THINK in these situations.
