Awesome cars, awesome race! They’re all close. The 720S would just take it in the 1/4 mile, then the 488 Pista. The 488 Pista is slightly quicker than the F8 Tributo because same power, just that the Pista is 35kg lighter and better aerodynamics, but also has more downforce, so the F8 Tributo will come around at higher speeds against the 488 Pista.

Myliferealquick hmm.. the pista is the competition from what I’ve read ... it’s specifically a track car. And the tests I’ve seen the pista has smoked the 720s - the 720s is faster towards the top end but the pista is quicker till what speed , I can’t recall , but the pista develops 60hp less than the 720s.. and yet , she still smokes the 720s on a track. Not a drag. I’m no fan boy , but it’s cool to compare

Why? The 720s was supposed to win in the Dragtimes race. But during the actual races, the guy just couldn't get to launch the car as well as he'd done during the test run.

Tyran Mathurin @ no it was because of the track prep detiriation, he did the test runs when the track was brand new prepped , brooks said it in the video, and last, the 720s had the better reaction twice, red lighted once and still couldn’t win one race, the guy driving it wasn’t an amateur, he already did a lot of drag races with him

The 720S and 488 Pista have a better power to weight ratio... The Pista and Tributo have the same power, but the Pista is lighter, so it is quicker. But the Tributo has less downforce so it will be faster. Quicker = Acceleration, Faster = Speed. The 720S makes more power than advertised, a lot closer to 800hp in reality, so that’s why it takes off the way it does.

Even though the F8 and Pista have the same power the F8 weighs nearly 200lbs more and it shows. The 720 and Pista are closely matched even at the strip. These guys ran a 10.1 @140 in their stock pista. 720s is a 9.9 @ 142
