30 sheets of photo etch and some of it may not be correctly identified in the instruction sheets. Pontos need some attention to detail with quality control, matching details that are etched into metal sheets to written/visual instructions shouldn't be hard. Then you discover that some sheets are missing ! ... no wonder you sounded flustered. Still, the build marches on, the hangar doors look great, varying the heights of them being open was a goood authentic touch. Cheers from Sydney, Australia.

I really admire your patience in dealing with the instructions. It’s always a pleasure learning from you. Happy belated Veterans Day from a Navy vet. and USAF brat!

Holy cow, Ben. What an entertaining mess! At least you are able to make progress and you are providing a great service to other Enterprise modelers. Press on!

I'm sorry for your frustrations -- but take heart, that your pain is helping those of us building CV-6 avoid some of the same frustration and pain, and I for one really, really appreciate it. Totally agree with the comments on Pontos (and KA) that they need to do a better job with their instructions -- not only organizationally, but showing where some of this stuff goes and how! Anyway -- your CV-6 is looking good and I'm looking forward to the next installment.

16:14 the “scrapage” looks good, looks like a well used hanger deck. I think the hanger deck walls should look banged up adds extra detail.

I'm glad you leave the problem segments of your build in your videos. So many Yoututube modelers leave this stuff out. It's reassuring to see good builders have problems too.

A lot of frustrations this time Ben 😮 I covered a lot of the issues you mention in this video in my build installments; just saying 😉 Hopefully you will get the mojo back for the next round.

Ben your doing a fantastic job. I understand those frustrations with building a model. Especially with photoetch. I really enjoy your builds. Your my go to guy when I get frustrated with my builds. Watching you believe it or not really relaxes me. Keep up the great work. Your attention to detail is amazing.

Still coming along nicely and i agree Pontos instructions are alittle frustrating 😉. I just finished build the USS Essex and the pontos set was one of the older ones.....very frustrating, thanks for the update on the wrongly numbered parts on the instructions i got my pen out straight away and fixed my instructions.

Ben, I and I am sure some others would like to see you build a future project in diorama format such as a ship in dry dock. Your thoughts?

Be careful with the fitting of the flight deck and hanger deck walls. I had issues getting mine to fit. It does get better. The island is much easier to build.

Have the same issue with deck. Must say that this kit isn’t the greatest of trumpeters 1/200 ships in my opinion. And that’s very sad especially for such a ship as Enterprise

Looks good even though you have had some setbacks with the Pontos Instructions. With the cost of their photoetch sets you would think they would ensure their instructions are on par. Once again, nice job.

L can relate with you as to detail instructions. Just finished the Titanic and am more or less happy with the result. I elected to use KA and could not believe how bad the instructions were. Now working on the Missouri and decided to try Pontos, great detail but, instructions are worse than KA. I don't even have page numbers. The photos are great but that is about all in my opinion. I'm sure things will work out. At least I am not missing a sheet of PE. Press on.

Hello ben,Absolutely love your content.i have a question,Ijust unboxed the Arizona 1:200 What a big ship.Iwatched your build and was wondering the bondo you use is it a specific modling bondo or just your regular automotive condo? thanks so much.

At my auto parts store they have a tube of quick drying automotive bondo. I use it because it’s fast and dries soft enough to easily sand.

Ben, see these are some of the things that give me trust issues with companies that supply photoetch upgrades for some models.

Hi Ben does make me laugh, that they charge the earth for these photo etch kits and spend 10 minutes designing the instructions. Hope you get well .Best wishes to you and the family

With as much money as these aftermarket sets cost you would think they would give us some better instructions. They can be very frustrating for sure.
