In this video, I complete the magnificent Stuka!
We recap on the journey of building this model, and I show you the Final Reveal photo montage. I then discuss my experiences with this kit and draw my conclusions.
I hope you like the final results.
Sorry the audio is hollow sounding, and sorry the Go Pro camera seems oddly faded when the model is on the turntable. Interesting observation I made.

My Gran said she saw one of these planes diving down onto Peckham gas works early in WW2. She lived in a house behind them where her husband worked, and she said that she saw the pilot's face when he pulled up after his dive. Very scary!!

Thx much for sharing your great efforts! Your cockpit colors seem a bit fanciful: RLM 02 is closer generally to "hospital" green with a dose of gray/tan, and not similar to RAF or U.S. cockpit/interior green; at this period, instrument panel, seats, sidewalls, turn-over truss, interior canopy framing, would all be 02. Funker's seat had a lap belt, and his back support strap was leather. His seat cushion was his parachute. Many designs from the 1930s had combinations of flush and raised rivets. Raised rivets are generally considered to be an easier/less costly yet stronger installation. Flush rivets were reserved for those locations that would have the greatest effect of lessening drag. Yes, the Spitfire also used the combination of raised & flush riveting. Just a FYI...

I am not my any means a modeller but I have always wanted one of these large Stuka kits since I was a kid. Anyway found this kit in a shop for around 80 quid so here goes will use videos like these as a guide but the colour scheme is going to be I believe the difficult part and I see it costing me 3 times as much eventually Cheers

Definitely well worth the wait. You've done an extraordinary job. You've managed to capture the very essence of the Stuka. A fine looking model indeed and definitely the right colour scheme. 👍

Wow thank you so much Nick!! Yes I agree this colour scheme is the best! The menacing Stuka shape and the aggressive splinter camo scheme were made for each other!!! Thanks mate 👍

hi simon great build . ive got the new issue airfix stuka dark grey plastic hard. the intructions have been compacted down . the colour painting schemes are bleared. its a 7 hours airfix scheme which is odd for an old kit

Outstanding build, video and presentation. Can't wait to build mine. I built the Airfix Bf109 and P51 but still need to build the Fw190, Spitfire and Hurricane in my collection.
