I have not taken my windows out yet. Car is currently being guarded by rattlesnakes. Too hot to work anyway. My rear driver's side window is locked in place 3/4 up. This will help as I want it working before I remove it. Again, great stuff.

I was surprised to see you put the 1/4 window parts on the fresh painted roof. i know your putting vinyl on it, but a scratch is a scratch...

If you want a challenge try a power window car. I've spent so many hours trying to adjust my power windows I'm feeling PTSD from just watching you do it. When I started my passenger door glass stopped about 2 inches from the top. After spending about 3 weekends on it, it now stops about 4 inches from the top. I've taken several months off of even looking at the car and I still don't feel like I'm up to trying again.

I haven’t done much with the power windows on a first gen. If you removed the regulator does the glass move up and down easily? I had issues with one car with manual windows where the rollers just would not glide and basically stop before doing all the way up. I ended up taking the track out an filing on it some for more clearance to get it to work.

@@VinylVillageGarage I finally discovered the front roller was catching on the wires for the motor. I used zip-ties to hold it back but unfortunately now I have to put the regulator back in. I've done it before but I can't figure out how! The electric motor is in the way. Thanks for the video. I couldn't have done it without it.

@@VinylVillageGarage I wouldn't say that. I've spent a couple hours trying to get the regulator back in. I tried again tonight. I even let my girlfriend give it a shot. The opening in 69 is smaller and the motor makes the regulator much larger. I feel like I'm really close, though.

I'll be paying close attention when the dash goes back in. Most of my bulbs are burnt out and I'm planning to upgrade to full gages when I have it apart.

Besides not have the access from the door jam, will this install work on a ‘67? It’s been so long since we took the 1/4 glass out. Great video.

Yup exactly the same. You can also hold the regulator from the other side too especially with someone helping.

Thanks for this video, I just replaced the top cylinder on the same side only to find the window regulator arm roller broken. ziptied it back together temporarily. what is best source for these parts? Car is looking great! Awesome work!

Very welcome!!! Check out Ames performance they sell the roller for the regulators and the glass like $6 each.

Hey man, do you have a preference or any know-how on converting a manual steering system to a power steering system? I have a 1968 bird. Will a 1968 camaro system work?

The power steering gear box for the most part are all the same Camaro/Firebird, just different ratios but should work. The pitman arm is different between power and manual boxes as long as it has the right pitman arm you are good there. The pump will need brackets to match your engine like is it a Pontiac, Chevy, LS a or ?? That might be the only thing you would need to get.

@@VinylVillageGarage Performance Online (POL) had a power steering conversion kit that should work for my car. The kit aligns with what you said and comes with a new pitman arm. Thank you again!
