Watching you with the Meng kit made me order the F-4 G. I can't wait for the F-4E to0 hit the shelves. Excellent work!

The engineering in Meng's kit never ceases to amaze me. Things so simple that they should be standard in new molds from other manufacturers.

Thanks Matt, I had to laugh a bit about you needing to putty those almost perfect joins, compare the fit to models released 20 years ago. More great content, thank you. I would like to know a bit about the UV glue you use too. Pretty please.

The separate natural metal areas part on the tail a lot better fitting than the Academy one that's for sure

I was wondering, if instead of cutting off those small round parts on the rotating tail wing piece, you cut small slots into the ends of the mounting tabs. This way you still get the positive lock of the round parts and you can still slide in the tailplanes at a later date. And although it was a bit hard to see in the video, I wonder if mounting a spreader inside the fuselage to slightly spread the fuselage to better meet the wings would work.

Matt, awesome work as always. Question Have you ever thought of using Flory's Model Wash (Dark Earth) for Engines, Gear Bays, Entire Aircraft wash. The stuff is amazing the affects you can get from it are insane. Peri Models uses it on his F-16 I Video. Also, what is the UV Glue that you use?

Looks to me like the Meng kit avoids most of the problem fit areas from other F-4 kits. And I've built quite a few over the years. Good on Meng.

Im only recently learning about this UV glue...what would one recommend for this? Im about a quarter way with the cockpit of my Academy AH-1Z and got a few things I want to try this on before I close it.

How similar is this kit to Tamiyas? Wanting to build a decent F-4E lately and I can’t seem to find much I’d like to take a crack at. Found mengs tho and upon reviews it seems very similar to the Tamiya one which I’ve built before and thoroughly enjoyed.

I was worried about that horizontal seam line on the nose barrel between the top and bottom fuselage. But it looks like it's not an issue. Correct?

That horizontal stab installation looks tricky. I do real airframe desgn for a living, and I would never design an interface like that. I know this model will never see all that pitch load at high speed, but there are better ways to make modelller life's easier.
