I'm a Bulgarian. Oddly enough, we don't learn this at school and I happened to live in an age, where my grandparents were too much looking to the future, in order to transmit what was in the past. I have had some musical training in my youth, but I've never been able to sing a folk song properly. I'm pondering going to lessons, but since I'm with a small child, I can't do it now. So these lessons are my greatest joy now! Thank you for making these and being so interested in our culture! 🥰

thanks for this sweet message! I have gotten so much from Bulgarians and Bulgarian culture, so it feels good to be able to repay just a little bit...I'm glad you're singing - keep it up!

@@michelesimonsimplyvoice9336 The pleasure's mine! I went through lesson 2 and you can't believe my amazement, when I managed to sing it like it should be sung. I was in tears, I kid you not! Your explanations are perfect, so easy to follow and they give me answers to questions I've had for years. I will be forever thankful! This is the beauty of the transmission of cultural heritage - it can transcend time, space, land, nationalities - it only needs to be from the heart! ♥ Thank you!

Thank you for this! I’ve been searching for Bulgarian vocal ressources because the layers of harmonies have really interested me and there’s little information :)
