Spearfishing and foraging for food as we set up camp on our very own island. Gorge on coconuts and papaya that grows wild here and search for tasty ocean treats to spear and eat.

All fish were of legal size and were speared for consumption. I abide by catch size limits, daily takes and no fish zones. Over the past 6 years I have made the commitment to no longer buy fish, so I only eat the fish I catch. Spearfishing is the most sustainable form of fishing on the planet, it is also the most environmentally friendly form of fishing when practiced well.

Those limes look like what are calamansi in the Philippines. Mix it with soy sauce, minced garlic...good on everything. It's the type of memory so delicious and familiar you can taste it.

Hey Wet Mammal, question - I am usually cooking in a 3mm wetsuit in the tropics, especially in Fiji. Was cooking so much I cut the sleaves off and that was a closed cell 🙃 Wondering what wetty you use?
