IMO the dog was probably going to check out the other dog in play as he was used to and the Lady freaked out and the dog reacted to defend himself and the boy from her reaction of being crazy. IMO the boy shouldn't have been allowed to walk the dog allown unless he had proven with proper training with the dog to show tge ability to have the dog under total control.... Corso are a protective breed they shouldn't be trusted to be around any and all people and dogs. They are bred to be working guard/protective dogs and have a prey drive to hunt. Don't blame the dog or the breed, and don't try to turn a Tiger into a Lamb and even if you have a dog you think you've trained to be a Lamb always realize they are still a Tiger

I see it all the time now with American bullys & American Pits. I saw a lady last week with a little 35ish pound male APBT & she couldn't control him AT ALL! when I was talking to her though, she had assumed because of his small size, she'd be able to easily control & walk him. In her case, the person that gave her the dog is who I blame.. I breed APBT myself and would NEVER send a dog like that to a 70 year old woman who needs to be able to control the dog on public walks & while there's other dog's around especially.

What kind of an idiot allows a child to walk a dog this size and temperament in public? If he wants to go attack another dog or person he's going to. Nobody but someone who has the physical strength to stop him should be handling him out in public. That accident was the parents' fault.

Kids don’t jump and stay calm and slow so not to knock um over. Adults knows so what wanna and have fun. Strangers leave them be unless something is cause for concern then be defensive. Don’t bark if someone is knocking on door unless it’s banging then warn them away. Stay on my side when walking. Don’t pee or poo at front or park only back garden. If I done most of what he says in the video my dogs be dangerous. But because I know how to deal with dogs my dogs are balanced and respected from people. If a dog attacks them they are trained to wait to decide what I want to do. If the other dogs to big yeah I'll tell them attack back. My word, these characters in this video are bafoons, not understanding this particular Canne Corso's frame of existence. They should be on a leash! The males don't have respect for this lady, talking the way they were. The lady doesn't understand her own dog by the way she is acting and I think she was more worried about herself next to this person than anything else. The dog that came over to the one holding the camera was friendly, but if I'm not mistaken these types of dogs are known to be Dog Killers and can do much damage to any other canine that they don't like and I don't think this lady is up to hold back her own dog from any fight and that person so close to her has placed himself between her dog and himself, which is not such a great idea. That is why the guy with the camera got worried that this other dog showed up. All this could end up volatile. Not a good situation to be in. Not impressed with this trainer's verbiage directed to that woman. In the beginning, he indirectly told this woman she is stupid because she doesn't understand her dog's actions. He didn't need to degrade this woman with his doctrine with dogs. This man is scared of this dog. I understand that he is trying to help her, but he should have spoken to her without her dog present at first and used some of his dogs to train her before she brought forth her own dog to then give her instructions on how to do things. Because of his approach and the way he spoke to her, the dogs can pick up the negativity towards her. Yes, she has done things that have made this dog aggressive towards other dogs or people, but he has no right taking this woman's money and then indirectly telling he she is stupid! He thinks he is The Dog Whisperer! GIVE ME A BREAK!

This whole video is crazy. With a big dog like that who isn't under good control why bring a female in heat out? That dog has absolutely no manners. When you have a powerful breed you have to train that dog from the get go. Now the dog is way big. Those dogs are meeting face to face, not head to tail. Not good! This dog is unmannerly in the extreme and the pro handler doe not have good control of his dogs either. I never permit my dogs to lunge on lead starting early in life. The color of a dog is irrelevant. It all smell and body language with dogs. The commands given are complex, "Good stay, my love, handsome." My commands are short and distinct. Sit, stay, down, come, no, leave it. My reward language is "good dog" with a pet or toy to reward, or treats. Look who is "vocalizing too much." If my dogs lunge, I jerk leash and stop immediately. Then sit. He might have to sit a million times but he will not lunge without a quick correction followed by sit. When I have a hypervreactive dog I have to teach the command "look" which means look at me not anything else. Besides, this dog is still young. He will be more settled with consistent work in another year. Conversely, he could be horrible in another year.

This "training" NOT on leash and no leash is bullcrap from the get go. It is a great way to cause leash agression. There is a rule, a dog on a leash should not meat a dog off leash in a training situation. To have this dog off leash in training he first needs to go through vigorous obedience training. This dog has NO manners, training does NOT start here!

The owners of that Corso are the reason for his behavior. They are allowing his mind to be escalated, when they should be keeping him relaxed. This comes through the owners behavior. This trainer needs to be trained. It's amazing people can say they are something, with this little knowledge. He's going to allow his dogs to bite if their dog does. Totally not the way to do this.

This is an Accident wanting to happen. She can’t control the Dog Herself, so how can a small Child? In Europe You have to have Insurance. If Your Dog bites Someone and You’re Uninsured, You’ll get a fine from the Cops of 300-1000€ and if that Person goes to the Hospital, gets checked for Rabies or any other diseases, then sues You, You are SOL!! He can take Your Car, House, or everything You own. So many Folks are getting these CC‘s and not doing the Homework. As soon as the Pup comes home, the training starts. It’s NEVER too early, and it doesn’t have to be stressful. Make it fun, but with Pups most of the early training is done with little treats. Man this is BS. Irresponsible Folks are going to put this Breed on the Black list.

Ja but Erwin isn’t the Owner!! Why can’t Folks be responsible for Their Purchase of Love? Most of These Owners have gotten a CC because it’s now the Fashionable Dog to get. People seem to forget that that Cute Puppy will turn into a 100lb Dog, and a Dog that big and strong, with little or NO training is destined for the Shelter or Death. She’s wearing a Dog belt but it’s USELESS because the Dog does what He wants. He hasn’t even learned how to sit properly, and instead of walking or heeling on the left side she walks Him on the Right. She needs to learn Basic Obedience 101 before She can teach the Dog. Let another Dog come in it’s vicinity and it’s ON!! He’ll drag Her with Him. Damn, this is like having a Baby and letting the Neighbor raise It.

@brianhardaway9716
@brianhardaway9716 3 жыл бұрын
@@gwynnkawakami2199 l came upon Erwins Page because I’m looking to get a Rhodesian Ridgeback and want to find out more about the breed, learn a bit more and although I had a pair of Rottis and Dobis for years, Training methods have changed and become more Humane. And since there are NO 100% Pure Dogs I wanted to find out the quirks of the RR. To date I have seen so many bad cases of Owner IGNORANCE that it’s frustrating to watch Erwin. It starts with Basic Obedience, but many of These Folks embolden the MYTH that These are dangerous Dogs, which isn’t totally true. Dangerous in the sense that improperly Trained or NOT Trained at all, can definitely assure that that Dog will have aggression issues, but that’s NOT the breeds fault, it’s the Owners. Erwin is providing a Service of Love for Cash, but He can’t save all these damaged Dogs. Some are too far gone, and require so much more Training that many Owners either give up and put it down, or bring it to You in the Shelter. It’s happened to so many Beautiful Breeds that because of Irresponsible Owners, they get put on the Death list. I don’t belief all Males should be Sterilized and that will solve the problems, because Females are just as bad. The Twelve Titans Kennel has a Fantastic Breeding Program, and have a Policy of denying the Sale of a Pup to Anyone Whom They deem Not suitable for One of Their Pups, which is the Most Responsible action I’ve seen here on the Tube. This is the Type of Breeder One should look for, but because of the Quality, Dedication, and Costs, Most Folks go to a Backyard Breeder, or find a Less Serious Breeder and get a CC, instead of ensuring that They’re Skills are up to par to Qualify for a CC Pup. That’s the main Problem. Most Breeders have enough experience to know which Pup is Suited for which type New Owner. Therefore a Dominant Pup isn’t given to a Docile/ Novice Family or Person. The Breeder should have enough Interest in where Their Babies are going, to be Concerned about what These are for Folks. Many Breeders see this as protecting Their Brand or Reputation, whereas Others see it as a Benjamins thing. I’ll bet that Those turned away by a Serious Breeder, seek out these Backyard Breeders, and through Word of Mouth, enable this process to continue. I surmise that in a few years the CC will have serious Legal problems. Unlike in Europe, Americans don’t HAVE to have Insurance. That would also help many Breeds from being sold cheaply and kept Disobedient. Use to be that because of the Price, many Breeds weren’t Financially accessible to Those without Chips, but NOW People are taking out Loans or doing Installment Plans to get a CC, RR, and other expensive Breeds!! If They have to scrape together the money to initially buy the Pup, how will They be able to feed and care for the Pup and soon to be Dog? The CC hasn’t been a recognized Breed on the AKC Books for a hot minute, since 2010, and it’s already getting a bad name. People with the Love that You and Erwin have for Animals in general are the Last Hope for many of these Dogs. It truly breaks My heart to constantly watch and see the Ignorance.

@@brianhardaway9716 Agreed. Most of the best breeders it still comes down to the money, regardless of what they say openly. I have watched the Titans and they seem to be above the rest in terms of breeders although I have not read their policies on purchasing. Have you gotten an RR yet? They are beautiful dogs. Met one with my Thor in Italy at the park. Very nice dog. Well good luck getting a dog and I appreciate that you care so much for dogs, CC, RR’s and others.
@brianhardaway9716
@brianhardaway9716 3 жыл бұрын
@@gwynnkawakami2199 Ja the Money is the reason Most of them buy a CC, and the Females are chosen more often than the males, for that reason. I am very impressed with the Titans, and after viewing Their page and reading about the Kennel, I was pleased to find a page describing the Sales Conditions. I’ve posted many times before about Their System and Conditions for acquiring a Pup and what a Person should look for in a Breeder, and I had never seen anything about the Kennel, just the videos. But I hope it had to do with what I mentioned that These Standards were now implemented, because it does mention 2021 as though it was, or is something new. Sure They do make a profit from Breeding, but They both still have 9 to 5‘s and I truly believe They’re not just doing this for the cash. They also have 1-2 Champions in Their Kennel. They’re definitely in a Different league as the average Breeder. I haven’t gotten My Pup as of yet, because I Retire next year and will have more time to devote to Living and Training it, but I’ve seen 3 litters and I know approximately what to look for. As Breeders go, There’s a big difference, like I said about the Titans. I want to be able to play, observe, and meet the Parents. If that’s not possible I won’t buy from that Breeder. I don’t want an Aggressive Pup. If the Stud and Bitch are calm and well Socialized, then that’s a good environment for My Pup and that’s what I would like to have. But again Many have Bred their Bitch for the Chips. Many are being advertised for 1000€ without papers, and are sold at 8 weeks, which is too young. For a RR with Papers and no HD or other sickness, chipped, shots, House trained, at 12 weeks, and well Socialized from a Serious Breeder, a Pup costs 2500-3000€, with 10-13 Pups, do the Math. So I’m taking My time, and every chance I get I go and look at litters, but this Virus has made it more difficult. So Gwynn take care and it was nice making Your acquaintance. I’ll watch and see how far this Family comes with this Pup. It doesn’t look too promising, and what I don’t understand is, if Erwin trains Them, sooner or later, They Most be returned to the Owner? That’s when the Old habits come out again, because They’re not as Consequential I believe. Well I’ll just have to periodically check in to see what happens. Tschüss.✌🏿

I respect this guys intent and results, there are few people anymore that actually will stand the middle ground and use prong slip or choke collars without electronics versus the new fad of rewards only happy happy path no correction. I've personally trained big Rotts with just prong / choke to a point where they were safe to walk off leash. I kind of think E collars are ridiculous except for special circumstances.... even a mid tempered dog given a few weeks of consistent slip collar training becomes much more attentive and that choke wont be needed forever . They just want to please and the choke just helps translate between dog language and people commands . You should still reward but correction is sometimes just part of training .

Ok what???? This Messiah guy is ridiculous! He is using words which in dog training have very specific meanings and mostly NOT what he is saying!!! His energy is all over the place but not where it should be! By the way a dog should walk heel on the left which is signaling the dog is to be attentive on the left, while "close" asks him to come to the handler either on the left or right. The left heel has the tradition stemming from when man and hound began hunting together. I could tell more about this but let's just say if you are right handed you want him to heel on your left! Even police dogs heel on the not dominant hand side. Meaning if the officer is right handed he will carry his gun with this hand and the dog will heel on his left! I could go on and on, there are so many things wrong with this dude's advice it is almost unreal!

These people should not have a breed like this! First, they let their young son walk him unaccompanied and then uses air quotes when describing that her dog broke loose in an unsafe situation that she created and bit a blameless person who was merely trying to protect her dog from getting mauled. She also blamed the other dog for just being a dog and shifted blame concerning another incident at a dog park. Of course its not the young son's fault! Common sense should have dictated that the child wasn't yet physically and authoritative enough to handle such a powerful dog who clearly needs better socialization and training. Good grief. This is exactly WHY certain breeds are banned in certain areas! Sorry, I would not want them in my complex . . . not because of the dog but because of the irresponsible human owners! Kudos that they are attempting some training, but this is not a good human-breed match, IMO.

With a dog as powerful as a cane Corso at a year old it is dangerous for the kid in the house. That dog is disrespectful and only listens if he is corrected by a strong person a dvthenbslowly and reluctantly. If that kid says,"no" to the dog or if b th r corso threatens him there is no likelihood the dog will listen to a child. The dog only respects more dominant people or dogs. He trys to dominate partly because he is nervous and partly because he can. A child should never be in charge of dog that might challenge him for dominance. It's dangerous.
