Patience and my most precious resource, my time. Someone sent me a donation before I ever asked for it and included in the note this: This donation isn’t enough to fund your rescue but God has a way of sending you the rest. Yeah it couldn't possibly be genetics right? like genetics effects all dogs except pit type dogs -- because from what I understand they are immune to it ... and any dog that lashes out like this has to be "abused" ... Its easier though to bury your head in the sand than admit to genetic predisposition.

From someone who owns a Cane Corso, they are not for most people. They are incredible dogs but you have to put in A LOT of work and if you do so... it will absolutely pay off. They must have training and a lot of socialization. My big boy is a sweet gentle giant but I would not recommend a Cane Corso to someone who doesnt have the time. Great video! Hes a beautiful dog. Wishing the pup and owner the best!

Would you say it is okay for a first time owner to get a cane corso? Given that the dog will be trained ofcourse and taken care of properly. Also would you recommend a female or a male?

@@Niilo2.2I honestly would never suggest a Corso for a first time owner unless you have an alpha mentality and can dedicate the necessary time and energy to put into building their routine and I don't just mean in the beginning A Corso is a permanent time consumption... they aren't children but they require just as much time and attention I say this as the owner and trainer of a 10yr old Corso service dog She's my best friend and I can honestly say their would be no me without her but for all the snuggles and love I still to this day maintain her training tho now it's more so because she loves it then that she needs it.

We have a cane corso who WAS a handful and aggressive as a pup but these videos supplied me with the knowledge and ammo to turn him around in 2 months time. I so appreciate the time and energy you put into these videos it has helped me tremendously in training my Dex. It's night and day from how he was 60 days ago when I was at the point of thinking I made a bad decision of getting a cane corso. I made the mistake of picking the smart pup!! Haha!! Loved how you said you always keep the dumbest pup because they are easy to train.

Good example that dog training is more about training the owner then the dog. The problem is this dog doesn't understand what his owner wants. He is sending the dog so many wrong cues. The poor dog ends up being very confused. The guy deserves credit for getting him in training certainly. I am going to subscribe hoping to see better progress from both of them mainly the owner. 😉

Never love on a nervous dog...Calm him down until he is totally calm,because you don't want them to think overly aggressive actions are okay....Correct him immediately ...then show love..I have a 20 month old Presa & My wife and I just rescued a 4 week old Corso because the mom quit feeding them,most of his siblings didn't make it,but we bottle fed her the puppy replacement milk but she wasn't getting full so we slowly start mixing small amounts of good dog food in with the milk..we make it about as thick as oatmeal and she is coming along great..She will get her shots next week.

AFTERRR he is told easy or whatever words you use... BUT, I noticed that when a dog shakes from the situation that ANXIETY MEDS (maybe cbd oil) WITHHHHHH some training may ALTOGETHER be the way to go BUT at 9 MONTHS I would def work with this guy first... He sounds like he knows what he is doing BUT KNOWING CORSOS qnd seeing how this guy handles him (pretty on POINT with how he should) and so this may be a corso who truly NEEDS a lil extra help with MEDS... Thank you I learned alot from this video. My corso stella has fear aggression to strangers and bicycles and I've been using a look command for her to look up at me and then I do the counter clockwise correction. I've been using a halti though to help with redirection. She's getting soo much better. We rescued her from a foster who was scared of her. Muzzled her and let her be the boss. Wasn't properly socialized. Part of the look command is i want her to see my reaction, that I am calm and there is no reason to protect me. Any tips bro?
@TheDogMessiah
@TheDogMessiah 3 жыл бұрын
Hello, well generally speaking the issue with telling her to look at you when in that situation is that she may think you’re telling her to get ready for an event that may need you may need her protection from. She’s a corso she’s she’s more inclined to take it that way than say a lab or breed like that. Check out Cora’s video for an example of how this happened with their dog. I would use clockwork for sure, but during that clockwork and throughout daily life when she looks at you smile wink nod or whatever you need to do to make her feel as if you love it and tell her good look good look and if possible reach out to pet her under the chin. If she breaks eye contact stop engaging her. You hav to use what I call acute ambivalence. In other words, when in a safe area such as your home, ignore her unless she does something you’d like for her to do often, sit = good sit, eye contact = good look, = lays down = good down, settles down from playing or running = good settle, if and when she stops barking in any context = good quiet. I tell you the truth I am here to help you and your dog. If you upload some videos or send them to, I will do an analysis of you and the dog and help you as best I can. Thanks for the support! Bless you

That's good info. I'm dealing with an American bully mix that just showed up with aggression with people coming in the yard. Started training with prong collar but will now go to choker. My only issue with cholera in the past is they have a way of coming up.
@TheDogMessiah
@TheDogMessiah 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your kind words. Yes I would stop with the prong. The choker should be lightweight also and barely fit around dogs neck. Watch the rest of the videos in his series and you’ll learn of the other uses for choke chains. You can change or at least control your dogs behavior if you start using the good word theory, wow moments, the law of observation and acute ambivalence. I speak on these things in all my videos. Check out the video with Sabine also. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rbOedrqjtNfFnas.html

@@TheDogMessiah Im by no means a trainer but I had taken in a stray Pitt that had formed an aggression and I used a combo of a choke and a chest harness as well. I used two different leashes but it seemed to show good progress as well.
@TheDogMessiah
@TheDogMessiah 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the insight and well, if I have a dig that is nervous and willing to bite when cornered, a harness is a good idea in that instance and yes, I use several leashes with aggressive dogs. I think more than the stuff you used you somehow managed to teach the dog something closer to faith, faith makes even the nastiest humans nicer. Bravo! I appreciate you sharing your success, it helps others see that there are many ways, many masters, many faiths in the dog world

Great video! I have a question. My corsos when someone is around my property they do what they're supposed to do and bark while guarding the fence BUT my female will attach my male sometimes in the process. What can I do to stop her from being aggressive with him? Thanks for the content and knowledge! Subscribed*

Thanks and it sounds like she’s trying to dominate him and make him get quite. There isn’t one thing you can do short of putting an e bark collar on her but it’s risky advice without knowing them. Reality of it’s a lifestyle change that will stop it otherwise.

I work at a car wash and a couple of people were in this van, with their dog and he was really going crazy, he literally was against the window, barking, and he was looking at me like he wanted to rip my head off. Scary as hell and the owners just sat there and I’m like “your dog is crazy” they just laughed and was like “he doesn’t like strangers or white people” I’m thinking to myself “racist bastard” I’m also thinking, “you guys must be too because your laughing and just not calming him down” it’s sad because I’m a dog lover and I had a pit bull he was well trained and never hurt anyone.

Corso' are definitely a "Reconstruction". No one would want to own an original Corso. They were made for war hence killing. You wouldn't be able to keep the around anyone. Corso'are naturally defensive dogs. They are bred to be that way it is deep in their genetics. This dog is not aggressive it is defensive. The Owner is a young guy and is doing what he supposed to do concerning his dog. Spending his time and money to learn how to properly handle his dog. He's not beating his dog into submission...or allowing his dog to rot tied to a post in the back yard. But we all know you can't win with "Know it all dog people".

Hello, well have you tried to meet your boyfriend outside on the corner away from her territory and then walk back together, possibly romantically holding the leash together back home? If that makes her accept him then that’s the go to move for at least the next 21 days when he visits each time. If that doesn’t work then let me know cause I have more advice and solutions but start there. Try it and see.

hey bro... I am not a dog trainer but I think that a right handed person might want them on there right cause that's what's comfortable especially with a big dog in that case a nine with a rope leash or a chock collar would work .... I love your videos and maybe there is a reason you put them on the left but I just have not herd you say it before... awesome job like always #1 trainer .... I just thought of a good idea for you why don't you put some of your walking strategies for training on paper so you can give it to someone and they can visually see what you want them to do .... it would speed up the explain time for your sessions ...

I can see the issue with the owner I know is hard to say but this looks like this is his first dog. He needs to be more confident and less afraid. I know it is hard to do but he needs to believe in himself first then it will be easier it is like having a child. Also I know this might sound bad but this type of dog might need a strong hand . I really like your tips especially with the prong training collar. I have used it before and It dose not work it promotes aggression also my dog build up a resistant and it was doing nothing. This was years ago. Now we have a dog again I bought for him a regular wide collar so it is pain free but I do a double tap correction if he starts to pull too hard. Also a muzzle on the dog when he is out for a walk might be a good way of keeping him under . This is just rumbling suggestions I am not a trainer. Good video thank you for the great tips.

This video is awesome, very educational. I am very curious, because the 2 corsos i know look very different. One is a 5 year old male who is thick, big joints, big paws, wide chest, lots of wrinkles. Looks like a mastiff. Then there's the smaller girl, size of a boxer, 1 year old, and has the body of a boxer and has more the head shape of a pitbull/lab mix! I am no expert, just trying to learn. Do you know the possible differences in genetics within the breed? I have been trying to figure out what this breed is made of and its been hard to find info

I have a bouvier, who are also a strong willed, protective breed that you can't breed out of them. She isn't socialised into the sense of out everywhere meeting people and tons of situations. I trained her and gave her clear commands was firm but fair. I didn't reward bad behaviour by petting, touching, giving attention, she listens and loves...but she will protect us to the death. I can walk her off lead and she will not go within 2 metres of us, even if she decides she hates someone by their behaviour she looks back at us, stands between us and backs up to us, all while intimidating those people. She very much so goes by my or my childrens feelings for the most part and if someone is acting shifty, she will be on full alert at mine and my childrens sides. The rest of the time she is flat out asleep or eating 🤣 I love Cane Corsos and I'm really wanting to get a pup in the future...they are a beautiful breed

@@TheDogMessiah aw thank you so much for your reply. I absolutely love dogs, but I'm drawn very much to the strong willed ones. I've just been watching your video with Blue, part 1, it's great. It really is. How you explain things is exactly how I feel about how they learn. I know sometimes it can be down to breeding when dogs have unwanted behaviours, but owners and people in general can often be the problem, or at least make those behaviours worse. I've subscribed to your channel, I think you are great, your energy and passion is so nice to see.
