A condominium like this would be good for someone to stay in while visiting Thailand. Then it might be easier to consider where to live in Thailand. Of course an economical vacation comes to mind as well.

Renting is the best for any foreigner otherwise you are at the mercy of sales market if you need to sell for whatever reason, so your cash is tied up. Cheap rent and you can earn 5% on your cash so best option?

Are you referring to the AC's external unit? Aren't those all intake? You shouldn't be able to feel it, but I assume you will be able to hear it. It's not that loud, but if you sit right in front of it, it definitely might be annoying to listen to, but then again I doubt that it will be on if you are there drinking you coffee for example, since no point in running the AC if you aren't inside the rooms right? :D

As with many of these condos, the outside unit of the mini-split is on the balcony wall. If the AC is running, there will be noise and air exhaust.
