Seems like some kind of class action lawsuit needs to be launched against the gambling commission as they are clearly not fit for purpose and only protect bookmakers.

Apparently after this incident they are now going through a rebrand and would like to called 10pbet from now on !

You're absolutely right. There needs to be some protection for the punter here. It sounds like bookies are just starting to use this 'palpable error' loophole as an excuse not to payout rather than ACTUAL palpable errors which I would understand in extreme cases.

For those not aware, 10bet relented and paid out in full on 14th July.

When bookies close winning accounts they're blocking all winners, leaving only losers, therefore how can any adverts promote 'lifestyle' winnings and the like when they never allow winning accounts to remain open? A straight-forward racket.

IBAS should be all over this - UKGC need to have a word.

Pretty strong case for the bets to be paid out at the placed odds. IBAS would most likely rule in favor of the punter with evidence. Failing that a threat of small claims court would probably get them to pay out. Had similar issues in the past with terms changing for places after bets placed. Always been paid out when the bookie is at fault.

Here in Australia the big on line corporate bookies pay out BUT if you have record of regularly winning ( ie, you know what you're doing ) they close you're account. The end result is that all of their clients are regular losers.

Back when Darren Clarke won the open he was 150-1 and at work we had a little gamble between us. I picked Vijay Singh and he pulled out at the last minute. I asked if I could Chang and they said yes. I picked Darren and I won £50. I wished I had put a £10 on him at the bookies. That would have been my best priced winner ever.

This is absolutely nasty. I had same issues even with live betting.... With over/under score they changed 1.8 odds after winning to 1.2 ... And when I asked they told it was their mistake.... Wrong odds!! Live!! Obviously if you're losing a bet with the odds of 1.1 it is not their mistake... They should compensate that as well...

Bookmakers that are available in the UK are iust legalised robbers and cheats. I have been restricted or barred from over 30 bookmakers in the past 18 months or so. Everything I do has to go on exchanges these days which is sometimes detrimental to the price I can get.

10bet are the worst I have experienced. Was betting happily with 10bet and won a couple of accas making a very low four figure profit. Bets were restricted to nothing so I tried to withdraw money. Asked on chat and then they wanted to do a skype call with me. A few days later went on a call. They refused to put their camera on and insisted I put my camera on. They then grilled me about my personal details and account info. Bets placed etc. I tried to log into my account but was locked out so could not get details. Insane conversation that no other bookmaker has ever required to withdraw money. After the call I could no longer use chat as could not log in. Emails that took an age to answer was only form of communication. Eventually got paid but it took a long time. Avoid.

They've had a nightmare really because the damage this will do to their reputation will cost them more than if they'd paid out the bet. I bet their marketing department are having kittens. Fools.

That’s it. I’m never betting with a bookmaker ever again unless I have a way to make money off them. I’ve done matched betting but I stopped after the welcome offers because I didn’t like the reload offers or the other non welcome offer offers. If I find another way to make money from the bookmakers I certainly will

@caanberry if you ever read this, today on the 16.7.22 I watched a horse called Pigbah Bay....1000/1 on betfair with about 2 furlongs to go suddenly 'fly'.....from the back to the front in 2 furlongs, 1000/1 on the exchange with 2-3 furlongs to go....fly.....

I truly hope mainstream media pick this up and 10Bet cost themselves more in the long term with people deserting them as untrustworthy - i truly hope this causes their demise which will ward off other bookies doing the same - your spot lights and all those affected calling them out on social media helps now every media source needs to be tagged into this - #Boycot10SCAMBet!

Interesting. I was recently kicked off of a betting website (I won't name, but one of the big boys) because of 'the nature of my business'. I had no idea what they were talking about so asked their service team and all the told me was it was a decision made by their trading team. I still don't know why but I presume it was because they realised I had been winning, not massive amounts maybe 3-4K over a couple of years betting on golf (combine e/w multiples on tournament results). I didn't fight it , I just stopped, this video makes me realise I did the right thing.

Using the palpable error rule, is nothing new, W.Hill, ( years ago ), stitched me up, using the same clause, even though the shop manageress ok'd the bet If it had been a losing bet, I would have not claimed a refund ( void bet ), because I would have assumed, it was a legit, losing bet

Pretty disgraceful, I can see the argument if it's an obvious error - like if it was an order of magnitude out of line... where they'd say posted some ridiculous 1750:1 then there is an argument for a palpable error, it's obvious there however if it's just a good price and not massively out relative to the market then they shouldn't be allowed at all. Perhaps there should be some hard guidelines/regulations on when a palpable error can be declared like it has to be over a certain % relative to a sample of quotes from the rest of the market.

This can’t carry on happening for the integrity of gambling. We fulfil our side of the bet, and they refuse to pay out? I always withdraw from my account as soon as I’ve won a bet. Are there any reputable betting sites we can use for our bets, apart from the exchanges? Probably not by the volume of videos you’ve done on these issues.

I had Fury vs Whyte bet on high street William hill couple of months ago... it was 4/1 for Fury to knock Whyte down between 1-6 rounds.. I placed £50 on Thursday, £50 on Friday and another £50 on Saturday... and odds were still 4/1 for 3 days up to the fight and total return of £750... and Fury did knock him down on 4th round I think... so I went to Willaim hill the next morning, all happy but when I went to collet on the counter they said there was a error on the price and instead of 4/1 it was 5/4... so got around £300 back... WTF

How many people that had losing bets on players where the odds were wrong have been refunded in the sites lifetime? And on top of that other sites had similar odds and a few sites probably had better odds. Sites like this deserve to go bankrupt as its a horrific business practice.

My records show that Trey Mullinax went off at 94/1 on the betfair exchange market for this event with £104 available on the back market and £52 at 109/1 available on the lay market. 10 bet totally disgusting, this is clearly not a palpable error and I suspect a case for fraud could be made.
