Chris Benoit being mentioned with Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn were historical as it showed a number of wrestlers moving to WWE after WCW. Benoit was one of the many. That day was not Chris Benoit's big day for WWE. Chris being pinned by Orton was historical for Benoit, but it promoted Orton's character history since his win against Benoit made Orton the youngest champion. Chris will never be "unbanned" from WWE.

I'm amazed at how well they hid chris benoit. I grew up watching wwe in the late 2000s early 2010s, and I discovered who Chris Benoit was by watching youtube videos who went over wrestlers careers literally a couple months ago (21 now). For all of the big wrestlers, they always wrestled and lost championships to chris benoit, so I was like "damn this guy must have been good how have I literally never heard or saw him." I then googled and found out why :(

I can't imagine why they banned Victoria in the first place. By all accounts, she's one of the nicest people in the business and I don't think I've ever heard her say a bad word about anyone. I look at Jeff Jarrett in one specific light-even as a heated enemy of WWE, he still wound up creating competition that would directly and indirectly influence how WWE evolved. This, combined with his career in the company, easily means that he is forever engraved as a major contributor to modern day wrestling, so him being inducted into the hall of fame is basically a no brainer. Good and bad blood all wind up creating a legacy

Jeff actually used TNA as the introduction to how modern wrestling should have been with the storylines and matches unfortunately with Dixie Carter it tumbled because she had no business sense. It’s what WWE needs now to adapt by actually creating good stories they can use, dump the scripted sayings, and dump the PG rating completely. Just get bullet points and play with it as long as it fits the story or the character you are fine. You throw a random good match out of the blue just as a little warm up and your show will be fine.

Why is it we can talk about Hitler and his role in history, despite how bad it was, yet feel a stigma regarding Benoit? Many superstars have made horrible choices. The only difference here is that Benoit never has the chance to repent for what he's done. That's a personal deal. On a professional level, I believe the man deserves every accolade he earned over his career and his career deserves to be celebrated regardless of what poor decisions he made in his personal life. I'm not saying WWE should mention his name at every opportunity but they should at least respect his fans enough to acknowledge him and his legacy.

Whenever they've ignored or cancelled Hulk Hogan, I've always known they would eventually bring him back. He was the face of the WWF for the 80s / early 90s and a huge part of WCW in the 90s. You can't Benoit him, you'd lose 50% of 80s/90s footage

It's sad about Benoit. As I understand it, the concussions he sustained and other head injuries from his work in WCW and WWE lead to him going insane. If he had survived no court would have persecuted him, would have declared him not guilty due to insanity. There was no planning, no fore thought, just his abused brain snapping and him going off like a wild animal. Could almost blame WCW and WWE for it, if they had recognized, like they do now days, when a super star gets a concussion and make sure they take time off to recover or move them to other, non impact, jobs, it might not have ever happened what happened with him and his family. His legacy should be remembered, not only for his in ring work, but as a cautionary tale to younger wrestlers to be mindful to check all injuries, no matter how minor, with the doc.

Benoit Showing Up In TLC 2013 is not that Crazy, it was just his legs lol but His Face Showing Up And Him Being Mentioned in that Doc is Crazy!.

Unbanning Benoit is something that will definitely happen in future. There are only upsides to it, you finally get to show and reference some of the iconic moments he was a part of, his son could join the promotion, and yet you never have to fear that Chris himself actually returns to the ring, wouldn't even have to pay the man. I doubt he will ever be introduced into the Hall Of Fame though, despite definitely belonging in there for his incredible wrestling skills.

Benoit is shown on a historical basis, not promotional. Plus, if you any of his matches on Peacock, he is there but his name isn't on same of the matches that he's involved in. For example, his IC title match against RVD on Raw in 2002 and his match with The Great One at Fully Loaded 2000 for the WWF title are billed as "Rob Van Dam defends the Intercontinental Championship" and "The Rock defends the WWE Championship", respectively.

During royal rumble matches the commentators always said before the start of the royal rumble match saying "In history they are 2 winners in the no.1 spot the first one is shawn michaels" yet they never dropped chris benoit's name.
